I was wondering if any of the posters out there used Dragon naturally speaking?
Tiger Direct has it on sale for 29.99 reg 99 bucks. I can see this cutting my time down writing inservices by a huge amount.

OT. I do not have personal experience, but I work in a Rehab unit for patient with spinal and brain injuries. Many of our Spinal injuries can not se their hands anymore, so we try and hook them up with this programme to continue work, and I have heard rave reviews as this is truly a lifesaver for some people!

I worked in a rehab unit many years ago-we didn't have this so communication was like the stone age: picture boards.
I'm still weighing the purchase.

I have worked with old versions, but not recently. I don't know if it has gotten better.

It used to be reasonably accurate, but you still had to go back and proof read everything and make lots of corrections. Kind of like a document sent through OCR. So if you are a fast typist, the speach and then then edit process actually takes longer. But, like I said, they may have been able to increase the accuracy with todays faster processors.
