What most likely happened to the herbivores in the past is that they had a chance to adapt to the changes in the plants. At the current rate of change, adaptation is not possible.

There is a theory out there that says that dinos may have died because of plant toxins.

The environment will change. I do not have the ability to predict how resilient Mother Nature is, but I do know that things we accept as known constants will no longer be true. My first thought is that even though nature has the ability to adapt to change, that ability requires generations or ages to achieve fruition. A decade or two is surely insufficient.

I really hate being the first generation that has to regret the world that they left to their offspring.

The climate has a history of changes, you know. There have been massive extinctions. Even if we weren't polluting the Earth as we do now, we should expect another shift in climate and mass extinction event eventually.

Climate change happens naturally over thousands of years....not decades.

this is true, humans are contributing to climate change, we do not know the exact results yet, we may be delaying a ice age by global warming, what we should all agree on is more research is needed cause man is contributing to climate change, that much is a fact

False. Ice ages are the result the variations in eccentricity, axial tilt, and precession of the Earth's orbit or the removal of CO2 from the carbon cycle. The variations are not in the cold phase and CO2 is, obviously, not in danger of being removed.

Still not getting it. Yes climates have changed in the past and a depressingly significant number have been associated with mass extinctions - not something that is nice to live through

Oh come on....Cider and wine were probably discovered by accident and it probably had nothing to do with climate. The same with cheese.

Warm weather happens every year...it is called summer.

Cider is much more popular where the good apples are grown...not where the climate is so warm that the apples that come off the tree are mush.
