Default ?

Oh God.....that's the LAST thing we need to be doing: approving MORE individuals with Security Clearances so they can get into Classified information. It would surely end up all over the NYTimes the very next day.

That would be stupid, stupid, stupid.

Fortunately, our President is NOT stupid, stupid, stupid.

No, he's not stupid.

Unfortunately, he's not wise either.

Default I call BS

First, this investigatin was not the one needed. This was just supposed to see if DOF lawyers did anything wrong. The investigation needed is if the NSA Spy program itself did anything wrong.

But this entire arguement, the program is secret so no one can have oversight of it outside the NSA is a distinct violation of the checks and balances of Government. Unfortunately the Congress is the branch that is supposed to provide the oversight of this and the congress is failing the American people for partisian reasons. The only hope is to get a democratic controlled congress that will have the guts to investigate if this administration is using the NSA to illegally spy.

The point is that if the NSA breaks the law, who should investigate. The administration is willing to investigate itself. And don't tell me that this is so secret that no one outside the NSA is trustworthy enough to know what they are doing.

That arguement is just stupid.

So JP5, what are you afraid of the NY Times reporting? That the government is illegally spying on millions of americans? IF the truth of what the government is doing to the American people can not stand exposure to the American peole, then they should not be doing it. Isn't the government supposed to be by the people, for the people.

Yea, allow the administrative branch to violate the rights of Americans without any accountability.. I guess you think that is a great way to feel "Safer". Would you be advocating this is it was a democrat instead of a republican?
