Default Is it our military strategy, or the military's limitations?

it seems as if many people, including americans, are doubting the strength and military strategy
of our military. Do I doubt the strength of our military? No. I do however, doubth the strength
of our military based on the limitations it now faces. Our forefathers went in and with brute force defeated our enemies in the world wars. In this, what is being called WW3, we seem to (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)foot around and try to follow all the red tape.
Looking for someone to blame, many people call out the Bush administration. But in my opinion, I think we would have already won this war if everytime we take a step forward, the UN and democrats of our own government didnt make us take 2 steps backward. Everything the military does is judged as wrong and has to be changed. If our enemies are terrorists and are not playing by the rules, why should we? When is America finally going to step in with some good old fashioned brute strength? When are we going to overlook some of the red tape placed by everyone outside of our military? And most importantly, when are the democrats going to quit trying to overturn every strategy placed by the Bush administration (not just about the war in Iraq, but even on the subject of ILLEGAL immigration. Emphasis on ILLEGAL)? How are we expecting to win if we arent even on a united front in America?! The idea that we can defeat our enemies, of which whom hate us so severely that even suicide bombers are reveared, through diplomacy has already proven that it can not work. lets not make this another Vietnam. Lets not give our enemies the impression we are weak and encourage them.

The idea that this is "World War III" is part of the problem. 50 million people died in World War II. The "war on terror" is not even remotely close to that scale. And terrorism does not threaten our national survival. Among other differences.

Default Hey Folks

I think you're right about what you're saying but I would argue it is lesser degree of a problem than the need for simply more men. Lets face it. The US Military was not prepared for a campaign of this size in 2001, nor did it have time to prepare. The Military was flung into it which seemed right at that time but as I look at it now, we should have immediately had a draft. Plain and simple.
