Default 50% of the world is against you,

Because they are not with you.

This world you speak of would that be "the world" that was not able to get UN approval for it's escapade in Iraq? The one that is democratic where over 50% of the votes would have got you backing.

Just like the US is reaping the whirlwind in Iraq.

You're speaking of "the world" that didn't do anything to stop Saddam except shuffle some papers, take votes, and threaten for thirteen years while Saddam defied them.

Even if the U.S. goes it alone, doesn't make it less of a worthwhile struggle to rid the world of a despot. I couldn't possibly care less if the rest of the world is as apathetic as you are regarding the freedom of Iraqis, it fails to diminish the worthiness of the goal.... freedom for 25 million people.

The harvest isn't over my friend. The storm is beginning to calm in Iraq. Only a fool calls a game before it's over.

Would you care to comment on the topic of the thread for a change?
(That would be the growing confrontation with Iran)

Rhetorical question:
Why can't lefties ever stay on topic?

Default This is the same rhetoric used against Saddam.

This is the same rhetoric used against Saddam. He did end up reluctantly complying. Bush started the war anyway.
In those days the US still had an army worth the name.
Today it is the GW fire brigade.

Default No country in the middleeast will comply

Simply because they hate us too much. Of course if this thing does happen it wont be easy, since so many of our resources are invested in Iraq. We cannot afford to invade Iran (Since we are occupying Iraq on borrowed money) and we dont have the military capacity.

Default So..

we are reduced to sitting in the Persian Gulf and lobbing missiles into AREAS in and around Tehran to achieve ........WHAT?

1 - Show that we can do it?
2 - Use all those missiles before the expiration date?
3 - Appease a "bored" navy?

What happens to the 140,000 next door? Are they going to invade Tehran?

It is in the U.S. press. It simply doesn't jump to all the conclusions that YOU do:

U.S. Navy flexes muscles in Persian Gulf
By JAMES CALDERWOOD and JIM KRANE, Associated Press Writers
Tue Mar 27, 6:18 PM ET

ABOARD THE USS JOHN C. STENNIS - American warplanes screamed off two aircraft carriers Tuesday as the U.S. Navy staged its largest show of force in the Persian Gulf since the 2003 invasion of Iraq, launching a mammoth exercise meant as a message to the Iranians.

I disagree with his border position, but may I remind you that 'lame Bush' has not allowed a single incident to occur in the US since 911?
..and please don't say it's coincidence and has nothing to do with Bush -

Default OK Max....

I agree- if the US does not win- it will definitely be a disaster.
Once they start blowing up major cities in the US it's all over.
Economy gone. Jobs gone. Banks will default- after there are runs on them.
Vigilanteism will be the only law.
The US will default on world loans and others will be called due early- with no ability to pay.
We'll be thrown into Third World Status and a vacum will be created where all our enemies will jump in to pillage and loot. Why? Because historically that is always what happens -every time.

This is why the US CANNOT LOSE. Yes, the libs have a model but they don't take into consideration these foes lie, cheat, steal and will go to no end to derail the USA.

NO MAX......THE USA WILL NOT LOSE.
