Today, a Rafale did his first attack to help US Army soldiers attacked by Taliban near Kaboul.

The pilot lauched 2 laser guided bombs.

Since 9/11 the french fighters were always available to any help in Afghanistan.........

We Americans are too busy player-hating the French right now, grif. We don't want to hear about news like this.

But anyway, thanks for that. It's nice to know the French have our back in Afghanistan.

We lost soldiers tortured to death there.

France has been in Afghanistan since the start..hadnsn't done much though.

When was the last time a large hell medium to small contigent of French soliers took part in any active military engagement anywehre in regards to the war on terror..

Yeah..your planes have dorpped a few bombs before anyway..woopee.

You and the Germans have been along for the ride but basically aren't doing much of anything.

Joker seems to think we should have parade and celebate a plane dropping a couple bombs..CANADA has done more then France& Germany combined....

Not maligning at all what was done..I'm just putting it in perspective. You could and should be doing 100x more..but your not. Your nation put in more troops and effort to holidng on to your psuedo-colony of the Ivory Coast then you have in 6 years now of war with the Taliban/al Qaeda.

You forgot Tchad (vs Soudan), Center Africa, former Yougoslavia states and may be not in the good place in Lebanon.....

May be there are more french soldiers out of France than inside....

I think with the next President some things will change (Sarkozy)
In this case, he'll want to be closer with US....

PS Is the French Foreign Legion still a legion and is it still foreign or is it just French these days ?
