When do we execute Manning?

Manning released much more information then regards that single incident. He released information regarding informants, troop strength, troop movements. He endangered quite a few people.

In the first 5 minutes I visited wiki leakes I found:

1 helicopter delivery schedules of food and ammo to foward bases
2 a report why a helicopter was shot down when it investigated a target on the ground
3 locations where helicopters have communication problems
4 the response time to provide air support to an ambushed patrol

If you want to kill a helicopter. You now know where it will be and when to prepare an attack. You know where they will have trouble calling for help. You know how to lure it in. You also know when to run away before more help arrives to rescue them.

That was just in 5 minutes looking at .0000001% of the leaked documents.

I say excute him slowly.

If they are going to execute him, its most likely going to occur only after/if he is convicted and then only after all his appeals are exhausted.

Contrary to your wishes, I believe that either he'll receive the lethal injection, hanging or firing squad. either way it'll be over rather quickly for him.

No one knows for certain just as no one can say with any degree of certainty that no lives were lost. Regardless, that's not the point. He didn't have the authority to release any classified information. He committed treason.

A jury might be swayed by the cover ups of innocents being killed. The decision is up to them and we might be surprised by it.

He'll be tried in a military courts martial, not a civilain court. The jury would consist of active duty military personnel. I'd seriously doubt that they'll have much sympathy for Manning's motives.

So he is basically screwed no matter what he does? That sucks. It sounds like he won't get a fair trial.

I'm going with this. I personally would rather see life imprisonment, however. But if he gets the death penalty I can't say I'd lose any sleep. People need to take responsibility for their actions.
