Default The Chinese, not so much
The Chinese army, while large, is very badly equipped and has performed poorly in the past(when China invaded Vietnam in 1985 they were beaten badly and the Vietnamese marched into China). For comparison, Israel has more tanks than China and North Korea has a larger navy than China. China does have a lot of infantry though.

I'd say their biggest failing is their logistic train. Their upper level commanders are good, but the top-down nature of the Russian army makes its small unit commanders suck.

Eh he's banned. So maybe we can just let this slide.

For the Record the Russians did pretty well against a range of other neighbors. Though I don't think those were particularily hard fought battles.
