Here is an intersting article about the draft rumors. Check it out, maybe it will shed some light for you:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5139838/site/newsweek/ It seems to me like the Draft rumors are just a lot of hype. I've already volunteered once so I am not eligible for the draft. But if the Draft is started up, I will volunteer again. -Demosthenes

is needed when the leadership cannot make a rational case for why people should volunteer.
"Here in Missouri, people see little difference between a conscript and a convict." Beauchamp Clark (D-MO) Fmr. Speaker of the House (US) and Missouri Senator. Everyone who voted yes should go volunteer, if they are of age. Otherwise, change your vote to a no.

Hansmolesman's family works in US intelligence services and that's where he wants to serve his country? -- well that explains a lot about the massive intelligence failures.
lol But seriously, someone so rabidly pro-Iraqi war, you seem like a massive hypocrite at the age of 22 to not have signed up to serve in the US armed forces and do your part -- after all, you can work in US intelligence (God Forbid!) later -- that is if you don't come home in a body bag that Bush won't let Americans see and Republicans will whine about if Ted Koppel memorializes your sacrifice by reading your name on Nightline. |

how far could the US Government go before the American people rebeled and refused enmass? We seem willing to put up with a lot of BS. i think they know it would hit the fan hard especially since all of congress knows the whole iraq war was a big fat lie. defending our nation is one thing, colonizing foreign lands for oil is insane. All Americans should stand up to Bush and say enough is enough. Why is Congress doing nothing? Because even though I thought Republicans in the Senate were moral and decent people, they actually are quite corrupt and jaded and willing to team up with the White House and corporations against the American people-i don't see the democrats doing much either. Who in the Senate is standing up against Mr. Bush? They all pretend they didn't know Bush was telling lies. I knew as soon as he switched gears from Osama to Saddam. They knew! They all have plenty to gain from the oil industry.
