I was there from thanksgiving day 2001, to Valentines day 2002. If you were there then you know it was cold as hell. It snowed and rained the whole time I was there. It kinda sucked. I can handle cold, I can handle rain but it is horrible when you mix the two.

Thats the thing about a draft, choice sorta goes out the window. Do you have a degree? B/c you need one in order to be a Chaplain in the Military.

I am actually working on that, I will be in my sophmore year in college come the fall.

I have three more years, and then I will have a bachelors in Pastoral ministries and the Bible

Well if there is a draft, I hope you have your degree by then. B/c if we go to war, alot of young men are going to need help.

My biggest worry, is my little brother who is thirteen now, I am twenty, if this war gets bigger, and we have a huge attack, the draft will be reinstated, and he may have to fight in it.

They will probably stick with one son can't go, but that may change with the smaller families people have now a days.

I am so tired of listening to all the hand wringers. We didn't start this crap but we MUST finish it. Just because we were born into freedom doesn''t mean it wasn't bought and paid for with a lot of American blood.

I don't care if we put Michael Moore in the WH come November I will support the war effort. This BS for political gain is only prolonging our efforts. November can't come soon enough for me so some of this finger pointing will stop because IMHO if we don't unite against this threat it will get the best of us.

I'd be in favor of the draft if there were basically zero deferments, (with few exceptions such as medical, maternity, etc.) But no school BS, no privilege loopholes - that includes sons and daughters of congressmen and PRESIDENTS!!!
