Ok I stand corrected. However you must admit that the word patriot is getting tortured into meaning something quite different from what your defining. For example, the Patriot Act seems alot more like a piece of nationalistic legislation than a patriotic one

Oh definitely.

Most that claim to be patriots really only use that as a guise and justification for their nationalism.

The Patriot Act is the best example of that.
