Default SAS

SAS by far.

We dont hear a lot about Delta, so I cant really make a sound judgement. But from everything I've read, the SAS is darn good.

I just know what I've seen from the Delta boys, but I've heard good things about the SAS and a force that the Germans have. I'm not sure what they are called.

The German anti-terror special forces are the GSG-9, as for the army special forces, I don't know.

But yes, the SAS is very good. Plenty of experience and an excellent track record.

I know this is a little of topic but may be of interest to those on this thread. John Woo has signed on to direct the film adaptation of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six.

I like the CIA, but no one considers the CIA a special forces team. They do all sorts of crazy stuff. You should read about CIA missions.

Delta Force is as far as I know 10 000, that is why they aren't that good. They become more and more regular troops.
Delta Force is a premier counter-terrorism group. Numbers mean nothing; just because there are a lot doesn't mean individual courage and honor do not exist.

Of course I am biased, but I believe U.S. Special Forces are the best. Marine Force Recon, SEALS, Green Berets, Combat Controllers, (a few for example) are justly feared the world over.

However, that's not to say I don't respect other countries special forces. I have a large amount of respect for Aussie and Brit SAS; and even a great deal of respect for their conventional warriors. I've worked along side both countries militaries in war and training and I was impressed.

A friend of mine who is a US Navy Corpsman (which in my opinion should also be Spec Ops) that serves with US Marine infantry said he was with Brit Royal Marines and he couldn't say enough about how hardcore and motivated they are.

I agree that we have some of the well trained special forces on the planet. Who ever said the delta force is not a force to reckoned with is seriously smoking som real good stuff. They are pretty strong and well trained force and a serious tool in fighting terrorism. Like Warsong said, numbers mean nothing; they are quality hand-picked men who are hardcore in what they believe in; men dedicated with pure motivation and excel in the respectable task given to them on their mission.

YAY SAS

Seriously though, they rock. We had a series of programs over here involving ex-SAS guys and what they did in the force (well, you know, tactics and stuff). (*)(*)(*)(*), they're so cool!

Its about 1000 strong, and can fight like an army 10,000 strong (and thats by British standards!).

It is widely accepted that Britain has some of the best trained troops in the world, and the SAS is world renowned for their ability
