Was she the one responsible for sending a contract for hundreds of millions of tax dollars to a Canadian company, to create the Obamacare Website, which is now universally recognized as one of the worst boondoggles of ALL TIME, who also LIED about the Obama Adm.'s knowledge and prior LACK OF TESTING of the system?

IOW, is she who SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIRED WEEKS AGO?

Hell no, she's not. Erling Davis is the Obamacare customer service phone operator who told the SIMPLE TRUTH about the stunning failure of the Obamacare rollout, from her own perspective, during a call from Sean Hannity, which was subsequently heard by MILLIONS of Americans.

She TOLD THE TRUTH...and HAS BEEN FIRED, by the Obama Adm., for whom the "Truth" has been a DIRTY WORD, from Day One.

That's the Most Transparent Administration in History for ya, huh?


Obamacare phone operator who talked to Sean Hannity loses her job




An Obamacare phone operator who had a conversation with Fox News host Sean Hannity lost her job on Thursday.

On Monday, the “Hannity” host called up the Affordable Care Act phone number provided by the federal government. Eventually, he was connected with Erling Davis, a phone operator working for a private contract company .

Hannity quizzed Davis about technical issues facing the government healthcare website and engaged in some small talk during their 10-minute conversation.

However, on Thursday Davis revealed that she was fired by her employer over the conversation. For his part, Hannity told listeners of his radio show that he will compensate Davis for a year’s salary tax free and try to help her find a new job. In total, Hannity reportedly gave Davis $26,000. He also posted information on his website where viewers could reach out with job offers and other assistance.

“They fired me from my job,” Davis told Hannity while being interviewed on his radio program.

A transcribed exchange between Davis and Hannity reads as follows:


Davis: “So, the next day I came back and they had, like, two people escort me upstairs to HR. And then it was three head people and me, we sat down, and so I’m like, ‘Why am I up here?’ I figured, OK, they want to talk about the phone call incident.”

Hannity: “I’m very sorry that you had to go through that. I don’t want you to have to pay a price just for taking our call. So I want to help you out here.”

Davis: “I remember her saying, ‘We can’t have this type of stuff going on here, so we have to release you.' They said that no contact with the media. No type of media whatsoever. We’re not allowed to do that at that company.”

Hannity: “It’s not your fault I called."

The comments that got Davis fired were arguably entirely benign. During the Monday phone conversation, she told the conservative commentator:

“Thanks for your interest in the health insurance marketplace. We are having a lot of visitors trying to use our website right now. This is causing some glitches for some people trying to create an account or log in. Keep trying and thanks for your patience. You might have better success during off-peak hours like later at night or early in the morning. We’ll continue working to improve the site so you can get covered.”

I would like to see a transcript of the conversation and if there is a policy about frontline employees talking to the media. I have worked for corporations except during my time in the military, everyone one of my employer has/had a policy with dealing with the media. Yes it sucks she lost her job, but she should referred Mr Hannity to whoever handles these issues with her company. Lastly if you think it is unfair she got fired, remember most states are at-will employment for companies. Only far lefties like me are against at-will, so welcome fellow travelers who are outraged by this.

In the companies I have worked for, talking to the media is NOT a firing offense, and likely wouldn't be supported under Canadian labor laws. The severity of the penalty is at odds with the fact she clearly stated she had no idea who was Hannity and had never heard of his show, and therefore was ignorant of the consequences. Her comments, available in this forum and across the net, were not "badmouthing" but stated the facts about her training and revealed a rather superficial approach, excuses actually, innocently stated, to "customer service". There was not one shred of harmful INTENT in her words.

Companies are not the military and cannot and should not act in an abusive manner, modern laws require an employer to "reclaim" an employee. And while it may be a practice in the military to punish people for their opinions, it is against the law to do so in a free society...not socialism, but the concepts of the founding fathers and supported in whole by the Tea and Republican parties.


With that, it is hard not to see this as punishment, an attempt to silence others who may think of going "off the record" and revealing just how bad is the Obamacare roll out.

In my opinion, the liberals on the firing of this young lady are racists. They see an innocent black women of 26 get fired for doing her job, and they could give a flying (*)(*)(*)(*) that she has 2 young children to support and really needed that $26K annual salary, the loon left answer, "oh well". Thankfully, Hannity stepped up to the plate and paid her annual salary, and found her another job. We conservatives take care of those that are harmed by the corrupt Obama administration. What is really sad is only half of America is concerned for the welfare of this young lady and her two children.

It was a private contract company that fired her, and I think it's outrageous, too. I've always supported unions to empower employees, and if she had some kind of union protection, this would probably have never happened.
