Nothing. Obama is out of red lines to draw.

And Asad is better than ISIS. Had we backed Assad from the beginning, Syria would be as it had been. Christians OK, and no flood of refugees

    Thanks Obama and Hillary,

Я не вижу никаких русских в видео
I not see any Russians in video.

But, evidently, from other sources, the US is bombing Syrians, and the Israelis also bomb Syrians to help the terrorists whom the Israelis take into their hospitals to heal them.

Hopefully we've learned from watching what happens without Khaddafi, Saddam and Mubarak, and Assad stays put. Looks like Russia understands the region and what happens without a strong hand at the wheel. Should be no consequences from us, we should butt out of it.

Putin = Alassad....Just two criminals and have full authority.

ISIS will be bigger and will grow more if Russian army will fight them in Syria, There are many Syrian and Muslim people against ISIS now, But if they know the war will be between Russia and ISIS they will stay with ISIS and maybe will join to it.

but i think the Russian army will not fight ISIS . he will fight FSA to start cutting Syria to 2 countries one for regime and one for ISIS

LAtakia, Tartos, Homs, and Damascus (Regime country)

Aleepo, Idleb, other citeis will be under ISIS control and north of Syria will be under Kurdish forces and Turkey control

Yes, Russia is pulling all the strings and controlling the "chessboard" of that part of the Middle East now. They've had a Russian naval base at Tartus, on the coast of Syria for many years, but now they'll strengthen their position.

Putin is smart... he has leveraged the nuclear "agreement" with Iran to help Tehran (Shi'a), throw Saudi Arabia off-balance, and now it will fill the vacuum left by an aimless, stumbling United States. Russia will employ its own military strategies to wipe out ISIS (Sunni). And make no mistake, if and when Putin decides the time is right to wipe out ISIS, he will see that it is done, thoroughly and completely.

Hint: Putin knows that between now and the inauguration of a new American president on January 20, 2017, the United States will do nothing but "tread water" in Syria/Iraq. Obama is out farting around with his "global warming" initiatives designed to destroy inexpensive power plants, celebrating his dreadful give-away deal with Iran, and playing golf. The RINOs in Congress are scrambling around trying to figure out which part of the degenerate, functionally worthless Republican Party they should ally themselves with. Putin grows stronger every day; Russia grows stronger every day. By the time we're finally rid of Obama, Russia will be the undisputed master of everything in the Black Sea, the Eastern Mediterranean, Syria, and Iraq.

do you think that sunni Arabs (75-80% of syria), Kurds (5-9%) see Assad with his secular Pan-Arabism and 1 party -system as the right choice for them?

Look at Libya. Weakening, and then taking out Qaddaffi was one horrendous blunder. The current disaster in Iraq could have been averted had Obama not pulled out the last 30K US troops, essentially leaving Iraq crippled. We are supporting a side(s) in Syria that cannot bring stability.

the problem here is that no one side can bring stability in Syria, . Syria is an outdated french /British colonial construction, do you think that its possible to bring 4-6 so different narratives together in 2015?

No, I do not. But I think that Assad, with Russian support, is still in the best position to stabilize what he can. We sure as heck cannot pick a side and then expect anything. We do need to support anyone who is anti ISIS, or at least not undermine them.

It is no secret that Syria is a client state of Russia and Iran not far behind. The consequences are that Russia is gaining influence and the US is losing influence.
