That killing another human being is justified if it's to prevent more deaths and more evil from being perpetrated?
I think that's why the Chinese are killing off the girls because they are more evil. Okay, sorry, I thought this was the joke section.
I'm not sure what all pro-lifers believe. I can only tell you that I'm not for killing someone to prevent something, because not only does the end not justify the means but it also negates the fact of trial before a jury of peers before execution which places us all into the same prejudgement mentality that this supposed killer had before we executed them. People who murder don't afford their victims a trial, so if we in turn kill the killers as indiscriminately as they kill their victims and without trial, we in turn make victims of the murderers and we are no better than murderers ourselves.
http://www.gotquestions.org/war-Iraq-just.html I haven't given much thought to deep moral issues such as war, but read that article from a Christian website, which I gave you a link to. It talks about whether or not a certain war is just or not (the article itself is about the Iraq War, but it could apply to any war.)
Let me give you a specific example, just to save time- If you could go back to 1933 and assassinate Hitler...before he killed millions of people...would you shoot him?
My topic is killing evil people to save innocent lives, Sam.....answer the question. Would you, if transported back to 1933, assassinate Hitler and prevent the Holocaust and World War-2?
It's interesting that you mentioned "what if Hitler died before WW2 started". According to one book, (it's called Stalin's Missed Chance) Stalin was planning on invading Europe. There was even a video game called Red Alert. Basically, let's just say that Hitler never came to power. Stalin would have invaded Europe, instead of Hitler. To answer your question, nope. That wouldn't solve anything. The Soviets probably would have just invaded Europe. That also would have caused innocent deaths. Even in the absence of Hitler, there still would be dictators invading Europe and causing innocent deaths.
You are redefining the moniker "pro-Life". It refers to people who want a society where human life is valued and protected. Does pro-choice mean that pro-choicers are for war? Of course not. Its a different topic entirely.
She trusts government to solve the problems of the poor. That is not the sign of "pro-life". It simply means her faith is in big government.
