Wait a minute its end of life counseling see people DIE, in most cases in the US in hospitals or getting care that will have no meaningful extension to life I would say spending $50,000 for an extension of life of months a waste of money. So they help people dying make their end comfortable and with dignity at home with family or in hospice care centers. If they are going to DIE then what is the point of lying about it.

I have 5 parent (natural, step and inlaw) still alive, all in their 80's. My wife and I INSISTED that they make out living wills which include a do no rescusitate clause as per their preferences.

My Dad chose Hospice over a feeding tube, but that was his choice and would have been my choice if he couldn't make it for himself as it was covered under his advanced directive. Your remark about those who believe in God only serves to display your lack of knowledge regarding religious folks. You'll find Christians have no problem with dying in hospice because they know they are going to a far better place. It's the atheists that don't want to go, and kick in scream to be saved by modern medicine, because they think they just disappear into nothingness.
