Interesting new set of events. I guess the cost for loss of life is now under $50,000.00 according to our government, slightly less then the $49,908.87 that each citizen of this country owes due to the national debt. Looks like we owe more than we are worth :bomb:

Last time I checked, 49,908 was not more than 50,000.

    Perhaps if you would read:

I said "is now under 50k"

    And from the article
And yes, 46k is less than 49k.

    Thank you for your contribution.

That money will last them for years.

The amount of money is agreed upon with tribal leaders, the family, etc.

You can't look at what it will buy in the US.

It needs a good lawyer to decide that he will represent all the families and for good reasons .
Putting on one side the differences in value or worth of money in the two countries , I think the minimum sum per person should be $1million . Minimum .
I don't care if $50k buys a hundred camels or a thousand , their return must reflect payment for a lost lifetime and unknown possibilities .
    $1 million minimum .

Remind me... how much did Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and Iraq compensate the families of 9/11 victims?

U.S. soldier dies saving Afghan girl
March 28th, 2012 - After the news of a U.S. soldier charged with murdering Afghan civilians, mostly women and children, the story of Spc. Dennis Weichel of the Rhode Island National Guard bears telling.

Each of those countries has paid a significant price.Saudi Arabia joined the USA war on terrorism, which then made it an AQ target, costing it many attacks and they have spent billions on the war.

Afghanistan was invaded by the USA with many deaths and destruction, the government overthrown and has been occupied by an invader for 10 years and has a with a USA chosen puppet in charge, and is ranked as the world's most corrupt government.

Iraq was invaded by the USA with many deaths and destruction, the government overthrown, and was occupied officially for nearly 10 years, and continues to be unofficially occupied with a USA chosen puppet in charge and has a government rated as ALMOST the world's most corrupt.

    Who cares?
Are you suggesting a scrimp drive now that US debt totals over $16 trillion ?
Do you advocate cheating people versus doing the right thing?
If I was that miserable bum Karzai I would charge the US $500 per person entering , for intended damage and destruction etc etc . Back dated to 2001 .
