You have no other Choice: Either the Western Civilization will go back to its Christian routes or will be governed by the Sharia Law.

Christians are Schizophrenics that need physiological help first and foremost. It a false construction to make them appear as something else. Calling a spade a spade. Simple truth.

Technically speaking, for him to apply his opposition to separation between church and state, he would have to overturn Reynolds v. United States and Everson v. Board of Education. If he cannot, his comments are mere baseless talking points.

However, outside of these two court cases, the idea of separation between church and state is merely philosophical. Thomas Jefferson wrote a letter in 1802 to the Danbury Baptist Association over concerns that the Connecticut government did not guarantee religious freedom as a right. In his letter, Jefferson, being the state's rights ideologue he was ignored the limits imposed by Connecticut, but did affirm that on the national level, there should be a "wall of separation".

Now, being the Conservative Rick Santorum is, I find it odd that he would disregard such a timeless philosophy of one of the greatest founding fathers. I guess Santorum sympathizes more with Alexander Hamilton rather than Jefferson.

Those who would vote for Santorum must really hate the Constitution.

Most Republicans respect the constitution so hopefully they will not vote for Santorum.

I support equality for all citizens through the government. If your church wants to call your union "marriage" that's its own business.

I do not support a seperate but equal policy like you are espousing.

America was founded by Christians as a Christian Nation, do not forget it. The dumb liberals rape America since the last fourth years, therefore America is on the best way to became a poor society without whites, industry and Islam as State Religion.

NeverLeft, your concepts of "truth" always need a source. They are questionable at best.

Hell, I can't even get you in your infinite "rightness" to condemn slavery as evil and wrong.

I take it you have no idea what the 1st Amendment says or that a good portion of the Founders were deists.

But then again, why would you? You're from Germany and know (*)(*)(*)(*) all about America.

The argument is based on hyperbole and overstatements, not facts.

I will say you nothing about me, but I know the 1st Amendment a little bit better as you.

Not according to the founding fathers but those fellows are not of much importance compared to "Jack Van Impe" and his lovely wife Rexella.

Those are the people who've been writing our laws for over 200 years but you forgot to include conservatives.

We don't have "parliaments" - we have 2 Houses of Congress. What we need instead of people who go there with the intent of imposing their religious beliefs on everybody else are people who can do what's best for the entire country - not just their little piece of religious bigotry.

The 1st Amendment bans that US from having a state church and it has never had one.

    You are completely wrong.

All citizens are equal. If they are not what marriage is then they are excluded because of context of their make up in that they are not what the institution is.

Then Santorum's Catholic Church, in which you have no problem with him imposing his morality onto others, sets the standard for rump rangers, especially when grown men take advantage of little boys.

However, you don't have a problem with this. Instead, your problem is with two consenting adults, which you would like to legislate into second class citizens by not affording them the same rights and benefits as two other consenting adults from the opposite sex.

BTW, I hate to break this to you, but gays are not the only group of people who engage in anal sex.

If this were true, then gay would be allowed to marry.

    Yet another myth-fearing rightty lie.

ACLU and judges continuously violated the meaning of Constitution and trying to force left-wing hard core liberalism to the US-citizens.
