I still say that is a lie or you're just blowing smoke. You don't know the reason. You are wrong. Not all cases of later abortion are due to medical conditions. You know it and I know it.

It is societies just as with all medical informed consent issues. And your hyperbole is quite hiliarious since I don't believe in a hell. But then when all you have left is shooting blind...............

I was asking about yours, but if you are going to debate this with me then care enough about mine to debate it and not ones you try to assign to me.

    So what about yours?

What has the higher morality saving thousands of lives, hundreds of lives or easing one, two or three in despair?

    Pro-abortion dodge #1924

    Try again

Wait a minute YOU are the one obsessed with taking innocent human life yet WE are the ones so lost to all sense of humanity?

Me>> Yeah that's all it us, us men just want to control women and keep your pregnant. What an intellectually lame argument.

    You>>
Of course it's women - all the men on those panels trying to control women's
And you just have to make things up when you can't defend your own positions.

It's not a man versus woman issue but that strawman is all you have isn't it.

Why? Everytime someone on my side mentions the fact that it is a human life you fight to the hilt denying it, claiming WE are the one so uninformed.

So if it is just a clump of cells, if it is not human, if it is not a life, AS YOU CLAIM what is so emotional about it, what is the trauma?

YOU are the one who has been telling us it is nothing to be concerned with, it is just a blob, now it is something emotional and traumatic.

Those have been YOUR points used to attack. So it isn't JUST a clump of cells, it ISN'T just a blob. It IS a life that is killed and THAT is why it is traumatic and emotional?

Here is where I think the VA legislature got it wrong. This law is a MANDATE. It is the government putting itself firmly in between the doctor and patient. I remember us spending a whole summer saying that this is wrong. Republicans who support this law (and the similar ones around the country) are no better than the Democrats that supported the individual mandate.

Get used to it. It's Ubamacare and government intervention into private lives gone wild.

Convince the leftist losers who think they can have government intervention into every aspect of our lives but be able to pick and choose when they don't like something.

    ......

    1) At state level, it is a consistent republican effort to chip away at Roe v Wade until abortion for any reason for any American is illegal. That is really what you are after, and all the state mandates are just a precursor to this ultimate wish of republicans who want their own peculiar "family values" to be forced onto every American regardless of Roe v Wade.

It remains illegal to thwart a woman's visit to her doctor for medical services for whatever reason and is a distinct invasion of her privacy. It is a nasty, unAmerican, fascist venture to Nazidom, the complete control over women in this instance, but can quickly move into more areas to deny basic rights of every person for whatever any deviant mind decides. It is control over people's personal lives that neither government nor state should ever get into except to provide equality, justice, fairness to all.

    2) You have just stated the radical republican/T-bagger agenda!! Democrats are interested in preserving the Constitution; republicans/T-baggers are intent on skewing it to their own agenda. Democrats will not let that ever happen....forward this to November 6,2012 to properly evaluate my response.

We are all aware that this current attack on women's rights was a planned, totally political ruse to add flagging republican/T-bagger energy concerning their prospective nominee...whoever that may be...:eyepopping:

That would be Gov. McDonnell who is expecting to be chosen to be VP by someone - Santorum? He had publicly stated he would sign these bills but backed off very quickly when the outcry and bad publicity started. And even faster when Tim Kaine said publicly that they were making the state a laughingstock.

    ......

Santorum won't make it because he isn't centrist enough for the vast populace. Plus he is just another radical conservative hiding in an empty sweater-vest. Romney will be the republican empty-suit nominee.

But there will be massive blowbacks in each state for every bill republicans try to pass concerning women's rights that will end in a deluge of cases coming before the USSC in the future.

Getting engaged in local state politics is as important as national politics these days where inroads by republicans in state legislatures have been recognized as potentially extremely detrimental to women. The bill is still unacceptable to Democrats in that they did not have a chance to debate it, or know what was in it before it was passed. The only thing changed was the deletion of inter-vaginal ultrasound to a upper abdominal non-invasive ultrasound.

So Va. women are still subjected to harsh scrutiny, forced to view an ultrasound, and hear lectures before receiving the proceeding she came to the clinic to get. She remains the victim of an abhorrent legal technicality because someone does not personally approve of what she is doing. This is decidedly not constitutional and will be overturned.

The same reason a pap smear is somewhat traumatic. Its an invasion of privacy. Any medical procedure that requires you to be penetrated, or naked, is traumatic.

Some women don't want to have an abortion. If the fetus is severely ill, she woould have wanted the baby, but has to abort it because it is so ill.

Actually she does, and she is correct. The typre of ulttrasound Repubs want to force on women is a vaginal ultrasound -NOT the ultrasound you see in the picture. A vaginal ultrasound is needed only in the very early stages of pregancy because the fetus cannot yet be seen properly with a regular ultrasound!

God gave us free will. Republicans would like to take that back.

If life begins at conception and that clump of cells is a baby, by all means, feel free to take that clump of baby and raise it as you see fit.

As to the emotional trauma of an abortion.....maybe I can refer you to the thread concerning the study about rats and empathy.

The government does it all the time with laws and regulations doctors and hospitals must follow.

How does it in any way shape or form chip away at RvW or move abortion to an illegal state?

Why are you so obsessed with women not changing their mind about the abortion but making sure it goes through?

So, you concede, the move is designed to persuade. Its not medical. Its intimidation, pure and simple.

I like this bill to be honest. It forces people to wake up and smell the roses. Murder is murder, take a look at that life before you murder it, maybe you'll come to your senses. To be honest I don't have a problem with this bill at all.

You have got to be kidding. What you say here…does not have anything to do with what this topic is about. Viagra….does not kill anyone…and to compare a scenario as you describe is ridiculous. Abortion kills…and the ultrasound would show the humanity of it all. But you pro-aborts don't like that. You don't want to see or hear about what goes on.

Sure, but in this case it's needed. People are too stupid to figure it out for themselves. Murder is not cool, convenient, or routine. :crossbones:

This is what people who are pro-abortion don't want to happen. They don't want anything that would show the humanity of the unborn.
To them abortion is not murder….its an rite of passage…something that should always be allowed…and something that is moral. The thing is they know its not moral…BUT THEY CONDONE IT ANYWAY AND THEY LOOK AWAY. If they don't see it…it will go away.

Amen for this bill…and shame on that Governor. If I were a Republican in that state….he would not get my support for anything.

But it is cool…and convenient and routine for the pro-choice abort crowd. They see a wrong…but they don't care…they want to look away. They would do the same thing if we were in Germany and the Jews were being marched into the ovens. Its not worth their while………..God knows what else they condone.

I don't like that in this day and age we condone murder as something as routine as a dental cleaning. Abortions happen everyday, with no thoughts of consequences at all. It's so routine that we've desensitized ourselves to it, it's just another surgery, another day, another dollar, tomorrow will be better right? It wont be. It never will be.

Murder does not make you un-pregnant, it makes you the mother of a dead baby. If anyone has a problem with that statement, and thinks abortions is right - I invite them to sit in on one of these abortions, as I have seen hundreds, if not even more, as a surgical technologist. They are not routine...and they are certainly not pretty. You wont think that way for long, and you probably wont be able to keep your lunch either, and news flash, no vomiting in my operating room.

    How dumb can one get…….

The move is to show the woman what she is killing…and hopeful change her mind. What is so bad about that? It is not intimidation…it is showing the big picture of what is happening. It is showing the woman…what she is killing.

Here is an example of someone who does not know the fact…that or you don't care.

Anna whether or not you would get one or not does not matter…you are pro-abortion. You do not want protection for the unborn. It is sad that you feel that babies in the womb are nothing and the woman should be able to kill up until delivery. How sad, cold…and inhumane. What else would you condone…your neighbor abusing his child? Would you just figure that he has the right its his children?

The fact is the government tells us what is moral and what is not. It makes laws that we have to follow…even if we don't like them. It is against the law in my state to not wear a seat belt. Why are they sticking their nose into my car? Its my body and should be my right to wear one or not. And the same with drugs…..by your standards they all should be legal…..and if you want to sell them its ok….even in a school zone. What right does the government have to tell me what I can do with my body. But gee whiz…..I can't sell my body for money or sell the body parts that belong to me.

The fact that you do not know when life in the womb begins shows that you do not know this issue. You need to go research this…google when does life in the womb begin…and enough websites will come up and they all say the same thing….at the time of conception. So to say it does not is ignorance on your part.

They teach in all medical schools and its in the textbooks….that life starts at conception…….

And how will you get her to look at that screen? Are you going to stand in the room with your hands either side of her head and your fingers holding her eyes open?

And if what she "sees" is this?

Doesn't look much like a baby does it?
