    Yer tellin' me...

... tryin' to keep up with year-to-year tax changes for tax season is a nightmare...

... Schedule L has been kicked to the wayside this year...

... and grants to blind veterans for the purchase of vehicles are not considered taxable.

But was always a temporary fix to pay for wars as it should have been in 1943. That means the income tax is not what it was meant to be

No it is the method by which income is taxed. I beleive you are introducing another topic all together.

No it was created and used as a temporary fix in other wars but after 1943 that precedent was abandoned and it has been permanent since. It could be said the income tax is illegal because it was designed to be temporary

Yes, the American tax system is screwy. Everything the federal government does is screwy because it is born of politics rather than common sense. Politics is humanity at its worst.

Nothing has changed the progressive tax system is the bedrock of the US tax system. Throughout the history of income tax in the US.

ONly lying partisan hacks use this 47% number. The 47% number only includes income taxes which only includes 1/4 of total taxes.

But it is the primary source for all federal spending and programs. That number does accurately reflect the real number of people who contribute to the federal government.

You want to act like not paying income tax is no big deal. If all paid income tax Obama would not need to raise taxes as much.

By the way 14% pay no federal taxes

From you source, "precedents for withholding U.S. taxes go back as far as the War Between the States, when the Treasury withheld taxes owed by federal employees under the income-tax law adopted in 1862", which supports my position below....

You continue your lies and refuse to acknowledge it was only used to pay for war before 1943. It was not meant to be permanent.
