Its reported by infowars, but the links to the solicitations are genuine. The National Weather Service has no need that I am aware of to stockpile ammo, much less learn to shoot. And why hollow-points ? Then we have DHS stockpiling 10's of millions of hollow-points.

    Something is very wrong here.

Any ideas as to why we appear to be turning every weather-service employee into a trained marksman ?

This idiot conspiracy theory is old news. Did you miss it the first time?

See, out in the real world, agents have to practice regularly. Hence they need ammo. You should practice with the same rounds you shoot in the field, the hollow points. You use hollow points because they work better at killing people, which is the purpose of a handgun.

This isn't rocket science. Why do you regard the regular purchase of practice ammo, standard procedure for every agency for the past century, as evidence of a conspiracy? Was it also a conspiracy when ammo was bought under Bush?

Oh, the NWS no doubt has security guards at some facilities. They need practice ammo too. 46,000 isn't a lot, given you need at least 1000+ rounds per person per year.

    Your conspiracies are redundant.

    Jackdog just provided the clarification.

Leave the InfoWars site to the fools.

One thing I have learned and that is to question everything and every source, always do your own research becasue every site out there has a slant either right or left and most bloggers are just idiots with a laptop and an Internet connection

hehe got a friend who does the shrimping thing, he carries a shotgun, a rifle, and a pistol on his boat. You might be surprised at how those guys defend what they perceive as their territory

want to get a ass whuppin. let a crabber catch you pulling his traps. or for that matter running over his floats with your boat

Seeing as there are only 63 of these agents isn't 730 rounds a piece a bit much?

nope not at all, 50 rounds per month practice isn't enough in my opinion. I go through three to four hundred before a a match

Pardon the slightly off topic meandering....

FWC...(Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission)...well armed and intimidatingly dressed for war...including body armor... rent seeks heavily on my river (Wacissa) every weekend. Dozens of expensive, brand new boats...including some hot rod air boats.... brand new trucks, boat trailers, and truck kennels for the drug sniffing dogs they bring along to gin up a little extra rent (fines) potential on top of the BUIs they drag out and haul off to jail.

It's disgusting to think how the heavy hand of government has become so pervasive and intertwined in almost everything we do.

Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

No doubt about that. I just went shooting a couple weeks ago and blew through about the same total. But then again, I was shooting FMJ rather then Hollow Point. I'll be (*)(*)(*)(*)ed to shoot that much ca$h in hollow point ammo for fun! LMAO

46 weather guys need to shoot 1000 rounds of dumdum ammo a year to "stay in shape"?

450,000,000 rounds @ 1000 rounds per bureaucrat = 450,000 bureaucrats shooting 1,000 rounds a year. Why do so many need to shoot so much?

I don't even know where to begin with Alex Jones and his insanely idiotic conspiracy theories on Infowars.

That man is a f*cking fraud who makes money off fear mongering imbeciles and getting them all riled up.

Everytime I hear someone mention Alex Jones or Infowars I laugh in their face and walk away laughing.
