    So we agree, since the stalemate has started, Obama has been a big zero.

    Yet unemployment has easily fallen the most...and the deficit has decreased...and 401k's are higher than ever.

    I doubt the average american really cares about what figures the government spits out in their GDP calculations.

    Why would you think I agree with that?

    Why would an unbiased, nonpartisan person like yourself claim Obama has been a "big zero" when it has been the Republican party that blocked his efforts? And yet you never put any blame on the Republicans.

    A closet Tea Partier. I don't blame you for not admitting it publicly.

    Oops is that the entire drop in unemployment is based upon one of the state NOT REPORTING THEIR FIGURES.

    As we expected. This was all a bunch of bull sh!t!

    Dude, you keep confusing the BLS with Gallup.

    Gallup does its own independent polling. Whatever the Department of Labor may have done is irrelevant. It has nothing to do with Gallup.

    The bull(*)(*)(*)(*) is that you simply don't understand the data, as you have repeatedly demonstrated in this thread.

    Oh, I like the way you used the bigger font and bold. It makes your baseless statement sound so much more impressive.

    I used a bigger and "colored" font for this post because I know that will make it more convincy to you!

    I actually do not think it will help B.Hussein Obama. Couple things, not always consistent with each other:
    1) He belongs to the "never let a good crisis go to waste" administration. Did he prolong the crisis thinking it would bring the country to the left?;
    2) Too little too late. There is an argument that unemployment never should have gone over 8%, but then again, this is the "never let a good crisis..." y'know;
    3) The administration has some control on unemployment and only boosted it now that they absolutely need to do so;
    4) This is sheer luck and nothing to do with the administration. Romney will handle the economy and jobs better.
    or
    5) the numbers are a frake: http://www.rocklandtimes.com/2012/10/10/jack-welch-causes-stir-with-claim-unemployment-dip-is-fake/

    Some of these may be true, others maybe. I think Obama has one line: without him it would have been worse. That is the only line that will help, and I think most people will disregard it. I don't think these numbers will help.

    You really figure that Obama's plan was to make the economy worse?

    Doesn't sound like a way to try to get re-elected to me.

    The conservative experts here at PF would disagree.

    I'd like you to do some math for me. Please explain with data and math what 7.3% actually means?

    For example, if we had 155 million people in the workforce, and we have 7.3% unemployment, does this mean we have 7.3% * 155 million = 11,315,000 people unemployed?

    If the 7.8% or 7.3% numbers are SO IMPORTANT, then they must be able to be substantiated with data and math...right?

    Actually there are only about 133 million non-farm employed in the US Today. And there are about 156.5 million in the workforce. So let's do the math!!

    156.5 million (-) 133 million (=) 23.5 million (/) 156.5 million (=) 15.02% unemployment.

    And this does not take into consideration those who are forced to work part-time or who are underemployed, etc.

    SO...your 7.8% number is REALLY misleading...

    You are using the wrong numbers and comparing apples and oranges.

    Acrtually there are 143 million employed today, and 155 million in the labor force.

    155 - 143 = 12 / 155 = 7.74%

    http://www.bls.gov/webapps/legacy/cpsatab1.htm

    So the BLS number is NOT REALLY misleading...

    You just have to be knowledgeable about what the numbers mean.

    I know, but the unemployment rate is not based on nonfarm payrolls, but employment. You are mixing apples and oranges.

    Compare to Jan 2010 after the Great Recession: 20.5% underemployment with a 153.5 million workforce = 31,467,500 underemployed Americans.

    Today less than three years later, we have 6.2 million fewer underemployed Americans.

    That is change we hoped for. Or at least those of us not invested in failure for political purposes.

    It could be improving on it's own. But I'll wait till say Feb and March, after the Holidays are over and see if those numbers still hold or go down. Then we'll know for sure, Here is one reason unemployment is helped.
