It is appalling that Kirk Cameron was bashed and insulted by Atheist on television. Unless of course the athiest happened to have seen an episode of "Growing Pains". Then ii is entirely reasonable.

 

The thing is that the interviewer is a Christian who has bashed atheists on his show.

 

First off, I must have missed the "sick attack" but then again, christians seem offended by anything and everything nowadays.

Secondly, the guy said that marriage was defined in the garden of eden, to adam and eve. The garden did not exist, neither did adam and eve - <<<Mod Edit: Flamebait Removed>>> Genesis is complete fiction. So the entire basis of his opinion on gay marriage is flawed. Piers should have taken his argument apart.

 

Any individual attempting to claim that Genesis should be taken litterally needs to be mocked. End of story.

Debatable, but a Catholic is certainly not an atheist. Will you admit that in stating this had anything to do with an atheist in your OP was simply wrong?

Maybe then you can actually explain which aspect of the interview you feel contstitutes bashing and insulting?

 

Kirk Cameron is clearly not a man of great intellectual width or depth , however sincere he may be .
The interviewer asked him reasonable questions and Kirk had nothing rational to say --- he came across exactly like a reasonable Muslim fundamentalist . No difference whatsoever .
He's a believer . Big deal ?

 

If watching Fox news in the belief a media personality will unlock the mysteries of the universe then... in for a slight dissapointment.

Or Cnn. But what is the difference between them both? Maybe the weather reporting is slightly better.

 

I would have thought 'real' Christians would frown upon prejudice and bigotry. If not, then, and I can actually feel bile rising in my throat as I'm about to say this, but if not, then I'd prefer Piers Morgan's Christianity. And I LOATHE that guy.

Either way, he isn't an atheist, so what we have here is two Christians with differing opinions having a slightly tense discussion. At worst, there is IMPLIED insult, but no way is there any ACTUAL insults there.

 

I think you meant that you believe in it but choose to label it in a particular way .
And who are these Real Christians ?
Are they better than Ordinary Christians ?
Do Christians who believe in Homosexuality but do not practise it , get better marks than those that believe in it and also practise it to see what it is like?
If that is so , why do so many Christians who label it as bad still practise it , particularly when they are Ministers ?
Complicated game this Christianity . Could easily turn you queer .
