it all depends on how bad the economy is by summer 2012...if it keeps going in the tank then he may lose a few more points..however, if the economy stays the same or improves slightly, he might even win! Well no matter, if Obama wins a second term then get ready for 4,000 gold :)

Weekly NEW unemployment claims back up over 400,000 last week 402,000.
2 weeks ago new claims were reported as 393,000. That has now been "REVISED" upward to 396,000.
The 12 month, 24 month and 33 month AVERAGES under b.o. are ALL well over 400,000.

But just using his latest, best number. 396,000 X 52 weeks = 20,592,000 NEW unemployment claims per year.

Just using 400,000, a number well below the b.o. average NEW weekly unemployment claims equals 56,760,000 NEW unemployment claims made while b.o. has held office. FIFTY SIX point EIGHT MILLION NEW UNEMPLOYMENT CLAIMS made under the 'annointed one.'

James: Thanks for listing the indesputable results of the Presidents tenure in office. (AKA: Why an ideolouge should not be President)

Lets consider how these facts will determine the election of 2012:

As long as the GOPs nominee can stay focused on Mr Obamas record it should put the GOP in a good position to not only win the Presidency but the Senate as well. (17 Congressional Democrats have announced that they will not seek re-election.

The President is left with a narrow path to victory. He must demonize all his percieved enemys (the real culprits),as we have seen, even if it means dividing the nation.

There are a few wild cards left however, such as the OWS movement which the President openly embraced, becoming more violent. That would be the final nail in the coffin for the Presidents re-election chances.

On the other hand if Ron Paul were to make a third party run, it would in effect re-elect the President.

    These are excellent points, Vic.

Obama will desperately try to energize his political base. He will attemt to divide the nation between the haves and that have-nots.

This will be difficult to however for the following reasons.

Rep. Maxine Waters & Black Caucus is Tired of Making Excuses for President Obama.

Sure, so is that it, he just signed the order so he gets all the credit?

    How weak, desperate and weak.

You get it wrong from the get-go. The military wrote those orders and submitted to him for his sign off.

Tell me, could you imagine any President not signing off on the order?

Then tell me me exactly what Obama did, specifically what he did to make it possible that those orders came to him for his sign off. What did he personally do that enable us to kill him other than sign the order.

And what did he personally do to get Bin Laden? Other than sign off on the order that was presented to him, what did he do to make it all possible?

Yep, look what happened when the Democrats took over Congress and look how bad it's been especially after they got the White House too.

You can see on your chart how the Bush policies worked in the recession he inherited. Note how they were already going up before he got elected, then his first tax cuts stopped the bleeding and the second round gave us the 52 months of growth low unemployment.

Add in where we are now, still with initial claims over 400,000, record low labor participation rates. You can also see how the Democrats and Obama's have failed.

    Thanks for posting.

...those who actually care about this country and its people.

...actually, between the rational people and a bunch of propaganda-fattened clown-bots.

It will not be "difficult to" at all since Republicans have been responsible for nothing but miserable disgrace and failure in the living memories of a majority of American voters, and they have done NOTHING since January 2011 to do anything but etch that image of do-nothing failure and ineptitude into even sharper relief. They have no candidate, no plan, no policy, no friends, no chance. There are still eleven months to go, but without a major game-changer from somewhere soon, all the Republicans have to look forward to is another "thumping".

More of your traditional sloppy and ineffectual attempts to cover up flawed processing of phony information. We all know who put getting bin Laden back at the top of the list, and we all know whose Great Recession this is that we are still recovering from. Endless lame rap isn't going to change those facts or anybody's opinions of them. You only make yourself look silly.

    Great question, Bluesguy!

The Obamabots will have no response, of course!

Any fool can sign an order to execute a plan!

No, as has already been pointed out, it was a silly question, one reflecting a lack of undertanding of history. Bush was down to chiding others for reminding him that bin Laden was still unfound, accusing them of not properly understanding the so-called Greater War on Terror. That's what a two-bit, tin-horn President does.

Obama said "We will kill bin Laden". He elevated that objective to a blank-check top priority in his reorganized anti- and counter-terrorism efforts. And then bin Laden died. That's what an actual, no-nonsense President does.

No Jimmy...ANY fool can't sign an order to execute a plan!
For instance...GW couldn't...not because he couldn't sign his name...although we could debate that one too...but mostly because YOU NEED A PLAN!!!

What was it the last great Republican president said?
"I just don't spend that much time on him." I think...wasn't it Jimmy-boy?

LOL...Jimmy...you really do make this too easy...

    Ha-Ha!

Hey, I'm no fan of George Bush!

Here are two liberal elitist. After three years, they have become quite identical in their policies and their differences have become very minor! They ignore Congress when it comes to their war policies and they both think they can spend their way back into national economic prosperity. Obama, like Bush, has increased the power of the NSA, he has broadened the scope of warrantless wiretapping of Americans and both have done nothing to scale back and limit the abuses of the Patriot Act. Obama is clearly the greatest authoritarian and one of the phoniest and most insincere presidents we have ever had.

Unemployment claims drop to 9-month low

There were 381,000 initial jobless claims filed in the week ended Dec. 3, the Labor Department said Thursday. That was down 23,000 from the prior week's 402,000 jobless claims and the lowest level since February 26.

    http://money.cnn.com/2011/12/08/news/economy/unemployment_benefits/

Sorry to be the one bringing you that bad news.

The true unemployment numbers have not changed.

The national unemployment rate reported by the government is now less because 350,000 Americans have now quit looking for jobs!

You are very wrong James. The true unemployment rate has dropped from over 10% to 8.6%. 350,000 Americans did not quit looking for jobs.

Very true, Iriemon. This James person does not know what he is talking about. He is very wrong indeed.

I would ask him to explain why the labor force shot up by 970K in the three months before it declined by 315K (not 350K), but I know he has no idea at all of how that might have happened. I might as well ask a stick.

As usual, you are very mistaken, Iriemon

    Check this out.

By the way, here is my reliable source.

    http://www.moneynews.com/Headline/Unemployment-Rate-jobs/2011/12/02/id/419751

    Where is yours?

Oh, I forgot! ... You never have one!

    Ha-Ha!

" And a key reason the unemployment rate fell so much was because roughly 315,000 people had given up looking for work and were no longer counted as unemployed."
