Why should you watch Fox News? Because they're non-partisan? No.

    They're NOT non-partisan.

You should watch Fox because they're the only tv or newspaper source (other than WSJ)where you'll hear certain true good things about the right, and certain true bad things about the left. That is undeniable. No other major source will tell you certain positive things about the right and certain negative issues about the left.

And you DO want an accurate picture, correct?

Then include Fox News in your news diet.

One last thing, try watching them without the preconceived mindset that EVERYTHING they say is false.

Hannity is a lot like MSNBC in his over-partisan attitude, but the rest of Fox is just fine. In fact, it's actually entertaining with enlightening.

Just because they say 5 "good things" about the right and 2 "good things" about the left doesn't mean you should watch them considering they lie about 50 things regarding the right and 100 things regarding the left. I'm sure that the Nazi's had 3 good things to say about the Jews and were often critical of the Aryan nation to a degree. Does that mean the world should have supported their voice and opinion?

The faux is a lying propoganda machine designed to keep hold of the ignorant masses that know no better. The goal is to instill constant fear of the "liberal agenda" (which doesn't actually exist) and any politician that's not wholly devoted to the undebateable list of talking points designed by the Faux's big business friends and Rupert.

I will occasionally tune in to FOX just to see what bull they will say next. Also, it seems like all the women of FOX look like stepford wives and have an odd "glaze" in their empty, little, bimbo brains. It also serves to reinforce the political views that I hold.

Given that CNN, ABC, CBS and NBC will all say the same awful things about democrats and the same glowing things about republicans, what's the point of hearing FOX say them 20 times as often?

_All_ of the national media has a heavy conservative bias, because it's all owned by very conservatives megacorporations.

There is no objective media source. Frankly, it is better to watch/listen to admittedly biased pundits when it comes to all things political. At least you know their POV.

The problem comes when any 'news' source claims to be objective but is really biased. The presumption of objectivity can cause radical notions presented to seem 'main stream'.

I prefer local news stations over the mainstream media. I'll occasionally watch a little bit of fox or one of the other stations but for the most part I don't deal with it. About the only news anchor I care is Dana Perino because she always seems level headed when she speaks. At least whenever I catch her.

Watch FOX news if you want really bad comedy from the right. The only people who take Fox news seriously are people with no research skills to check the so called facts Fox is flogging, and people without critical thinking skills.

Even well educated conservatives know most of Fox is crap.

    Heh.

I'm actually of the camp that we should be critical of all news sources, because, as has been pointed out, they are all biased. ;)

Blathering about Fox news is meaningless without comparison it just reeks of unsubstantiated hatred for Fox news. Tell us what great and wonderful unbiased source you compare Fox to...Otherwise your arguments are empty.

I find I can't watch either Fox or MSNBC without wanting to yell at the 'News Entertainers"

If you can stand to watch both to get a balanced diet, more power to you.

There is a lot of that for sure. They are all trying to be news personalities. I actually enjoy the diversity in news media we have because it has decentralized the journalistic propaganda.

Also, consider that news is a lot easier to gather these days because of the internet. Cable news shows are just filters.

Sounds like something you should take up with the OP.

Stawman; I never claimed any such things. However I did say "I'm actually of the camp that we should be critical of all news sources, because, as has been pointed out, they are all biased."

Scroll up, you should see it fine. Your question has been answered.

Considering the vast majority of news on television is slightly left-leaning, it must be countered by the one right-leaning news station, and to fairly counter it, it must be slightly more to the right than the others are to the left.

Peasants always serve their masters and say what they are told to. In the old days they were instructed by bishops, now by foxes. What else is new?

It has been proven that people who do not watch TV news are more aware of news facts than are those ignorant types who watch Faux liars every night. How pathetic!
