could America become less homophobic and select a gay president

i dont know if america will ever change in selecting a gay president if he ran no matter how good he is. not even george bush could get a gay man elected.

Why would tens of millions of Americans vote for someone who is openly engaging in a lifestyle they consider immoral?

Remember, only one American president has been divorced (Reagan) and his occurred decades before being elected president.

 

I hear my govenor Charlie Crist wants a crack at it. He is gay. And I actually would vote for him. Since I can't have Jeb Bush for pres.

Of course, she also has credentials and experience as long as your arm. Appears the message here is... it's possible to elect a QUALIFIED gay person.

Which pretty much lets the Democrats out of the equation, since being qualified has never been one of their requirements.

The Chief of Police in Tampa is a Lesbian. Jane Castor. A 25 year veteran officer, and a fine officer she is. A beauty also BTW! We had 2 policemen killed in the streets here recently. The United States has already had a gay president, James Buchanan. His long time companion was William Rufus King who was often referred to as Buchanan's better half or his wife. The two were known in Washington as the Siamese Twins which was a code phrase for homosexual men or women.

 

Shouldn't we rather strive for one who can lead the country? What's will all those hang-ups about race and sexual preference?
Don't we have more important things to worry about, unless we are obsessing about these things day-in and day-out?
