WASHINGTON -- The Obama administration's inability to stem the foreclosure crisis ricocheted dramatically on Friday, as the Labor Department released unexpectedly low job-growth numbers that pushed the unemployment rate back over 9 percent. The jobs report comes on the heels of both a devastating report that found housing prices hit new lows in March and warnings from economists that the tumbling real estate market threatens to drag the economy back into recession. http://www.hermancainforums.com/index.php?topic=91.0
It's a race against time... Homeowners facing foreclosure race to get help from mortgage assistance program (Sept. 15,`11) Banks have stepped up their actions against homeowners who have fallen behind on their mortgage payments, setting the stage for a fresh wave of foreclosures.
Housing market loses altitude - again... Foreclosures up for first time in 27 months 14 June`12 - Foreclosure starts rose year-over-year in May for the first time in more than two years - though they fell on a month-to-month basis - as banks resumed dealing with distressed properties after a mortgage abuse settlement earlier this year, data firm RealtyTrac said on Thursday.
the bad reports just keep coming in On the bright side, if there really is one, at least those homes get on the market and we can allow it to correct itself
The title needs to be retitled for accuracy ... How the Congressional Right-Wing conspired to fail the Obama Foreclosure Relief Plan that continues to contribute To Jobs Crisis of the ongoing Bush Great Depression !
We told the Obama zombies that things were not getting better, and that they would be facing another summer of Obamanomics. _
Obama took office with total control of the executive branch and congress. He had plenty of chances to deal with the economy but squandered it on Obamacare and lavish parties in the White House. Of course he lost his mandate when it became clear he didn't know what to do with it.
I would rabble-on with crap instead of having to peruse record right-wing filibusters and cloture stats if I were you too ...
I'm not an Obama fan, but be intellectually honest. The Republicans said right away that they were going to stall him out. It was petty and juvenile and did nothing to help the nation. Our Congress is filled with some of the most vile and dishonest people on the planet, all claiming some moral high ground that empowers them to thwart "the other side"--as though the other side doesn't have constituents who ought to have a voice, too.
Yes, the "Peoples' Foreclosure Relief Plan"... so typical of the kinds of Obamanite initiatives that never should have been begun in the first place! If a person buys a house he/she can't afford, and then the money runs out, whose fault is that? And where is it written in the Constitution that it is the responsibility of the Federal Government to come to the rescue of investment bankers who made bad credit default swaps, or a bunch of conniving "house-flippers"? All of these stupid, greedy gamblers should have been allowed to fail from day-one... if they had, instead of having the process interfered with by Obama and the Libocrats, we'd be a hell of a lot closer to real recovery than we are now. But one consistent characteristic of "W" Bush and Barack Jive-ass Obama is that they both rushed in to rescue those that were "too big to fail". Isn't it funny how only the investment bankers, the banking cartels, and the stock market were the ones who really got any benefit out of any of this fraudulent crap! But that won't stop all the empty-headed, gullible hyperlibs from supporting their "Dear Leader" -- no matter what mismanaged stupidity he commits....
