Republicans talk of fiscal responsibility. --- That's a lot of cant!
What a crock of bull and baloney!!!! $1 Trillion a year is spent on the military. That is very wasteful and filthy and irresponsible! Bush should be put in jail!

The US uses half of its annual discretionary spending on the military and spends more on its military than all the other countries in the world combined. --- Chris Hedges

The main purpose of our government is the protection of it's people like the military, police, food safety, etc. Granted there is waste in the defense department and we shouldn't of gotten into a lot wars, the publics safety is the number one job of our government.

Currently, military spending is about 20% of the Federal Expenditures.

In peacetime, military spending is about 15% of the Federal Expenditures.

Social programs are more than 50% of the federal spending.

Get your head out of your ***!

When the Democrats took over Congress in 2007 the U.S. had $5.035 Trillion in cumulative debt. Today it's north of $14 Trillion dollars. The Democrat Congress has nearly tripled the debt since they took over the Congress. All in about 3 years.

Both major parties have engaged in fiscal irresponsibility, to be sure.

Newsflash: Bush is no longer president. Obama is continuing the same neocon policies of military intervention overseas that has nothing to do with our country's defense, so why aren't you saying that he should also be put in jail? Why was it wrong when Bush did it but OK for Obama?

My friend, stop entertaining me. Bush did damage but he didn't break any laws. Obama on the other hand passed an unconstitutional healthcare bill, and 2 years after becoming president there is still tons of evidence and controversy of him even being eligible of becoming the president.

All past GOP presidents have been big spenders. Reagan especially.
