A good video on homosexuality from National Geographic.

It shows how we can have genetic twins and one can be gay and one straight.

But that's a liberal lie, a vast conspiracy to destroy the family and apple pie.

    Don't you see it?

This thread has been hanging out here for a while now. I thought the video was interesting. Didn't claim to be conclusive. Just threw some evidence out there. Where is the gay-is-simply-a-choice contingent? Why aren't they weighing in with the science they have on their side which might refute this?

I miss the cicadas at this time of year. We don't have them here. But the silence of the gayisachoice folks lets the cricket songs come through just fine.

Probably because it is too difficult to use Bible verses to refuse science.

Does this also explain why people are born with cancer? Or a cleft lip? How about mental illness? No legs? A parasitic twin?

Maybe now that they know the reason they can search for a cure.

No, I'm saying that any birth defect deserves the same chance to find a cure as more popular birth defects, like Muscular Dystrophy or Insanity.

If we can find the cause we can search for a cure. It would be heartless to do otherwise.

This is why you're comparing apples to oranges.

The ones you mentioned above, are physical issues. Those are probelms. But homosexuality is physoclogical probelm.

    So is insanity, bi-polar, schizophrenia.

The disease of the mind is part of the body.

It's BS to know what causes a person to be abnormal and not try and cure them. It's cruel.

It's a disease of the mind evidently by the NG explanation. You may as well say schizophrenia is not a disease. Well if it isn't, then it's a condition of defect, something amiss which should be first diagnosed, and then cured. If it cannot be cured, pity the homosexual, but don't refuse to try and find a method of treatment, or better still a method of prevention.

Most insane people don't know they need help, in fact most will fight help. They think they are normal.

Then being left handed is also a 'disease of the mind'. Would you agree with that?

One must conclude that homosexuality IS a choice if two individuals have identical DNA. The argument of epigenetics historically for people with different DNA but similar genes has been that certain genes are inactivated so an expected trait is not observed. My personal opinion, as always, is statistically-based. Biologically, some nonhuman species use homosexuality as a "built-in" population control mechanism (i.e. if you have no desire to mate with a species of another sex the individual can not procreate). Thus, humans probably have a low level of homosexuality at a genetic level (let's say 0.1 %). However, the actual gay population is probably 10 times that level in the USA so there is likely a strong social element to becoming a homosexual in addition.

As long as I can fondle my wife's beautiful breasts with my left, I don't think so.

The jumping through hoops to make gay "normal" is beyond silly. Homosexuals are by choice or by design defects in the gene pool. That's a fact.

It may make them feel better to try and sell it as just another variation of sexuality, but biology is a stubborn roadblock. There should be help for those people. Pity the APA has become dominated by leftist shills. They aren't doing the homos any good in their effort to not hate themselves. It's odd, and quite disingenuous to pretend the lifestyle is somehow normal in the big picture. It's a defect, like insanity or cancer.

    Still a fallacious argument.
Here's the crux of the argument being presented here.

Homosexuality is genetic, and therefore the homosexual makes no conscious choice
    in the behavior...

Fallacious on the grounds of confusing correlation and causation.
