Not long ago, Obama supporter Warren Buffett was quoted as saying that the rich, like himself, do not pay high enough taxes. However, his own company Bershare Hathaway owes back taxes dating back to 2002. Why? http://www.theblaze.com/stories/obama-suporter-warren-buffetts-co-hasnt-paid-some-taxes-since-2002/
Typical liberal hypocrite....Yeah tax the rich more, but try and get it from me...I'm special, I'm Warren Buffet.
They are 'adjustments', which likely means the company filed and paid and were audited. The result was adjustments to be paid. Hardly a rare event in the complex world of corporate taxes.
Guess that's why he doesn't just send in more huh???....LMFAO!!!! You can't make this (*)(*)(*)(*) up.
You are confusing his personal taxes, which he feels should be increased with corporate taxes. He has a duty to his investors to maximize profits on their investments by not overpaying tax.
"Billionaire Warren Buffett says folks like him should have to pay more taxes -- but it turns out his firm, Berkshire Hathaway, hasnt paid what its already owed for years." Warren Buffett, hypocrite "Thats right: As Americans for Limited Government President Bill Wilson notes, the company openly admits that it owes back taxes since as long ago as 2002." "Obvious question: If Buffett really thinks he and his mega-rich friends should pay higher taxes, why doesnt his firm fork over what it already owes under current rates?"
Tax loop holes my foolish friend. That is how they do it. They also make most of their money/income from investments and capital gains, which for all you non-investors is at a record low rate of 15%. So any fool who says the wealthy pay more in taxes than the feeble minded American has no idea of what they are talking about. Why would any wealthy mogule work at salery? They would be as stupid as those fools who think the rich pay more in taxes here in the USA. There is a reason the super rich have jobs that pay in stock options. If you don't know why, go find out like a smart person should look it up and do some diging. Reality is the Buffett says he only pays 17% tax last year. That is from his own mouth. Fact is if you make income on investments, you only pay 15% tax. If you make $175,000 like all middle income Americans you pay near 48% tax. Now that is fair in my book. If you think you are middle income and do not make over $100,000 a year, you are just fooling yourself living beyond your means, spending too much, going into debt, and trying to be what your not. Buying crap you don't need, and spending money you don't have. Trying to pay for your kids massive college degree, and own a huge credit card debt. Fact is if you do not qualify for the tax breaks of the rich, you are not in that category, and if you try to live like a middle income perosn on a low income wage, you will always pay more in taxes than those who truly are wealth. No, this is not Suzie Orman.
Tax Cheat Warren Buffet (D)........... .....he fits right in with Rangel (D), Turd Geithner (D), Chris Countrywide Dodd (D), half the Obama administration and half of the Democrat Congress. . . . .
Republicans somehow don't know the difference between PERSONAL taxes and CORPORATE taxes. They keep saying things like lowering personal taxes on the rich will make the corporations they run hire people, and that they are hired by rich people.... They are hired by corporations, not rich people. And reducing taxes on rich people does not increase hiring in the corporations they are involved in. In this case, the taxes are for Berkshire Hathaway, so it has nothing to do with Buffets personal taxes. And if they really are adjustments in dispute with the IRS, then this is just another stupid right wing talking point. When you have complicated tax returns, you have disputes with the IRS... I have had several disputes with the IRS where they told me I owed money, and the IRS has been wrong each time in my cases.
Republocans are just putting spin on what smart people all ready know. They are mainly targeting the feeble minded audience and followers who have no clue on what is realy going on. Replicans and t-baggers use the broadcast media as their tool to manipulate the worshipers into following their "no more tax" mantra. It's all good for the republican and t-bagger base of corporate moguls and wealthy media execs.
Manipulate feeble minded worshipers? You mean like this quote from Obama during his bid to be President in 2008? "The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion for the first 42 presidents -- $43 added $4 trillion by his lonesome, so that we now have over $9 trillion of debt that we are going to have to pay back -- $36,000 for every man, woman, and child. That is irresponsible. It's unpatriotic." My feeble little mind can't take much more doublespeak.
Obama didn't tell us that his wife would spend $10 million a year for First Family vacations either. That is borrowed money that future Americans not yet born are going to be paying interest on.
Yeah, but Warren in particular has been pounding this drum that he's not paying enough. So, he's telling us to increase his back-taxes?? I just don't it. Is he such an ideologue he can't see, he really needs a tax cut himself to he can actually afford to pay what he owes?? What a moron.
This is the insanity of Liberalism......and why half of the Democrats demanding tax increases, cheat on their taxes. . . . .
Buffet is no different than all the entertainment libs, cheering the same empty rhetoric. All of them hide their money. Hypocrites and liars. Worse, when caught in the hypocrisy they always try and justify it. Dooshbaggin chit eatin pukes.
WB can't be bothered to pay his corporate adjusted taxes from 2002 and why do people what to hear his advise on paying more taxes? The Obama admin is full of tax cheats but why am I not surprised, their all democrats.
Socialism isn't for the socialist, its for everyone else. see, he wants to have the money, but wants the others to have to pay the taxes for it.
Wonder if any of the candidates will call him out. Buffet has been he anomaly businessman supporting Obama. I always found it odd how any businessman could possibly support him, unless he was a radical liberal willing to put ideology before business. Be really nice if Perry or one of the other candidates would call him out. Plenty of good jokes here.
LOL.... Yeah, we'll take it seriously when Warren stands up and tells us to stop coddling the rich. Hypocrite. Not only is he not backing up his words with a voluntary anytime bundle of cash to the fed...it seems he's cheating the Fed.
All opinion and no substance here. There's one little snipet from the company's report, FAR TOO LITTLE to really make an opinion on. And from the article: "Counting both taxes, his effective rate would really be well north of 40 percent for a big chunk of his income." Even if this is true, I pay close to 35% taxes and I make less than $50k a year. So do I think Buffett's right when he says people like him should pay more than me? Yes. Is he right when he says the tax code is skewed to help rich people like him? Yes.
