It's seems at least a few people wouldn't agree:

The question of media bias is often thrown out there, but it's rarely discussed itself.

Does the media as a whole, on average Objectively Portray the Obama Administration and it's policies?

I don't think the media portrays any presidency objectively. For an example other than Obama take Bush and the absolute lack of questioning on the WMD's before the war. They ask questions when it is too late. The problem is 'access'. The media needs access to politicians and to get that access they ask softball questions. It's the same in Ireland.

Ever heard of NPR's On The Media? It's one of the view media outlets that discusses the media.

The most objective is probably NPR radio news. And if you think NPR news is biased (or very biased) you are probably not capable of being objective...in which case it doesn't really matter to you whether news is objective or not.

It is impossible for human beings to be completely objective. However, the media can do better. Not just with Obama but with everything.

Answer: Absolutey not. The MSM constantly provides cover for Obama and his excuses for his failed economic policies.

For example, why have we not heard more from the MSM about these "macho" statements Obama made in 2008 about the economy?

Obama says he's responsible for economy. "Give it to me."

It is impossible for any media outlet to be objective.

The original sin is that of omission. There is only a finite amount of space and even if there was an infinite amount of space there is only one front page.

In choosing something for the front-page or choosing whether or not to cover something and in deciding how much coverage to give it you are de facto being biased. It is unavoidable. That said, one should read a variety of views and try to search out less well covered info. If bias is inevitable (even in the choice of language) then one should take this into account when looking for media outlets.

Now it is true that we inevitably drift towards those we agree with (I consider the Guardian to be the best newspaper in my area for example). However, we should look at the other views (notice not just opposing view as that implies a false dichotomy) every so often for some measure of balance.

Are you in journalism? You seem to have the same delusions.

I do think that liberal journalists really do believe they are being objective. They don't think they are carrying the administration's water. They just objectively know that the current administration is a well oiled machine lead by a supremely qualified, god-like individual.

It's just had a run of bad luck.

The mainstream media doesn't objectively portray anything. They portray whatever message is deemed important by their corporate owners and the establishment.
