I would like to think so, but I suspect there's some, shall we say, nuance involved in some peoples' opinions on the matter.

Except when it comes to basketball, yes. White men can't jump.

    No. The tread continues.

Poor premise to segregate by ethnicity. No two people are equal in any respect. We are all different, some better than others. To delineate by melanin is a failed hypothesis.

Who are the cowards who are afraid to publicize their views? They are willing to be anonymous, which is scary.

In everything but colour. Which makes both sides irrespectful of the other.

I suppose so....there certainly are idiots in both races as well as wonderful people in both races. Whether there are equal amounts of both, don't know.

Nobody is completely equal, obviously. There are probably some genetic differences between the two but I'd say a large portion of differences comes from environmental affects.

I voted yes..but I don't believe any two people on earth are equal. But as far as rights and the law goes...all men must be treated as equal.

It is only fair. And it is only right.

The OP didnt specify the criteria. So I chose to assume he meant politically or socially.

Do you mean equal in the metaphysical or human sense?
    Equal under law?
    Equal standing in society?
    Equal in power?

    For the first two, yes.
    The last two, no.

So ... wait. You're saying that black people and white people are equal, but that people are unequal in other ways? If I'm following you correctly, you should have voted YES.

Good question. Let's say we're leaving out all unimportant considerations such as the ability to tan, or not to sunburn, or dunking in basketball.

More on the metaphysical end. The question is ultimately in regards to their worth as human beings, in my mind. But I felt the need to put as little context to the question as possible. I'm sure that people like myself will come along and nitpick the question, but when I thought about it I decided that the question is most clear at its most simple. Besides, how a person interprets the question can be illuminating. You raise good points, for example.

Of course white and black people are equal. There's no reason to over-think this poll since no special conditions are presented to evaluate non-equality.

Yes in society, no when it comes to being over represented in the pool of federal workers.

Our world wasn't created where anything is equal. No person is equal to another person. And people aren't supposed to be because that is what makes us unique as individuals.

As far as races----it isn't race that results in one race struggling and another thriving. Its attitude, culture and priorities, value system...etc that a race decides to take on.
