Don't worry Mello Guy the republican's have a plan to lower taxes on the wealthy there and the corporations. When they experience the shortfall, and higher cost of capital, all they have to do is privatize all the state assets to the wealthy. That will get them through a couple of years, and then when it crumbles they can say "See! Gobernment doesn't work!". It is all in the bag. Who care if the majority of people suffer? It is all for the rich baby!
It seems conservatives are hellbent on destroying the bond rating of all governments everywhere. They seem driven to want to impose austerity on working Americans so they will suffer, bringing satisfaction to the Tea Party demented souls. Pure nihilists. And incompetent ones at that.
And don't forget blaming public and private unions! After all we can't have working people making 50k a year!
Insert "Uniformed rage" before "Tea Party" and insert "ignorance of their nihilism" in the place of "nihilists".
Well of course those God Dang teachers living with Porsches and Rols Royces, while the poor bailed out banker only get millions in tax payer provided bonuses because we can't scare away the talent that bankrupted the banks!
So the point of this thread is that Arizona shouldn't continue to borrow more money than it needs to fund the basic necessities like roads, and because they keep raiding the funding for those basic services their credit rating gets down graded. And all of you lefties jump in the thread and start screaming. Lets review your thoughts just a short time ago ON A FEDERAL LEVEL. So you are saying the same thing to Obama and his ilk who are responsible for the federal downgrade? So Obama doesn't care about the people suffering? He is all for the rich? So Obama is driven to impose austerity on working Americans? Oh wait. I see. When it happens in a republican state, you all jump on the partisan bandwagon, using the situation to proclaim that republican's fail. When its on a federal level, and the president of the country is a democrat, you all make excuses about it not being the democrats fault. LOL Too funny. Bunch of little kids.
our rating didnt get downgraded because the president keeps diverting the money to pay our debt. did it?
Oh wow, it's like you took what I said about the Tea Party and their austerity fetish, and applied to Obama, even though his policies are contrary to that. It's like you're on a school yard play ground and you're shouting at the cool kids because we won't let you play with us. I understand.
Other than his helping with the unemployed I would say he is a mixed bag. He hasn't tried to destroy SS/Medicare like the republicans. Yet he did everything he could for the bankers at the costs of all of us. He isn't as bad as a pure GOP'er, but he has many corruption issues.
You liberal progressive Democrats have been stating that Republicans are going to take away SS/Medicare since their inception. Hasn't happened now has it? The last GOPer expanded Medicare. Wake up liberals. No one is buying your idiotic fear-mongering anymore. Not even your target audience.
The republicans just passed a budget that would have ended medicare by making it a 15k a year voucher program. Under Bush you tried to privatize SS. It is amazing to me that you people can't grasp what is right in front of you.
LOL one thing I have learned in life is that a guy who runs around telling everybody how tough he is.. isnt. Arizona is a good example of Republicans whoring out the taxpayer to the corporations. The austerity pains in Arizona are just beginning.. the only people benefitting are the rich. Gotta love plutocracy. There is a certain type of purity to the manner in which they have hijacked the word "conservativism" and lumped all thier attacks against the middle class as good old fashioned values that will ultimately allow everone to prosper. 1930's here we come,
The austerity fetish is at the core of the Tea Party and their dysfunctional personalities. It has nothing to do with economists, but rather their deep-seated desire to punish working Americans. http://leftwingnoisemachine.com/2/post/2011/07/austerity-and-why-the-tea-party-is-soaking-in-it.html
