When all they have to do is understand that everyone knows that "compromise" with bullies means laying over and peeing on yourself. And we elect leaders, not urine-bellies. Nobody, not even the cultured or gentile citizen when in the privacy of the-voting booth will say to themselves, "now which one is most likely to compromise?". Think about it. Everyone at a visceral level [the place where one votes despite what you tell pollsters] wants a silverback, a head-thumper. And this is most especially true when the clan is in trouble and the bananas are threatened. Obama's handlers need to understand that his speeches for We who voted for him and are wholly now disappointed in this belly-pee, are like fingernails on a chalkboard. If Obama never gave another speech between now and November 2012, he would increase his chances of getting re-elected a hundredfold. He could save hundreds of millions of dollars in campaigning by simply getting out his quill, sharpening it, and signing into law an emergency Act, or series of them, to stabilize the economy. Perhaps he is waiting to do this until next year. But waiting only increases the association of insicerity and political grandstanding for the election. The reason Rick Perry will beat him [and he will] next November is because Rick Perry's tailor has to add extra fabric around the crotch area of his trousers. Perry bulldogs his way into what he thinks is right for Texas. He will carry that "attitude" into the Whitehouse. It is the attitude that the American public is S-T-A-R-V-I-N-G for. And it is the reason Carl Rove is telling Fox to not promote him. He won't be easily "molded" when he lands in DC and Rove knows it. He will bust heads. So, the clock is ticking for the dems and our pee-stained president. Will he stop talking and start doing? Or will we have another Texan in the Whitehouse in 2013? When you boil it down, this is the bottom line that will render out in truth.
And there it is. Call me crazy, but I've been predicting this for over three years....Obama and his dull eyed, dictatorship seeking progressive leftist minions have purposely nurtured, and delighted in this economic crisis, and spent us into crippling, irreversible debt for this very reason.... to install "emergency legislation" that hands vast swaths of private sector economic concerns over to central government control...."for the common good". "NEVER let a crisis [as juicy as this] go to waste"
signing into law an emergency Act, or series of them, to stabilize the economy. I'd love to see this Chicago punk try this. The TEA Party people would surround the White House and not let Barry back in from his campaigning trips. Let's see the Chicago thugs bust a few TEA Party heads or just shoot them.
Well if it's good enough for Dick Cheney and Dubya, then it's good enough for Barry. Remember 911? the Patriot Act? Gitmo? Obama is no more responsible for the economic crisis than Cheney is for 911... Obama walked into the financial crisis that Dubya/Cheney left us. Obama has been trying to get the GOP to assist in resolving the mess their party made. Sorry if the facts get in the way of your conspiracy theory. I'd be happy with Obama with testicles or Rick Perry. Either way things aren't going to be the same in DC ever again. Sorry Carl Rove/Fox News. The gig is up..
The divide that exists leaves no room for compromise. Liberals want to fundamentally change our government towards socialism, conservatives want to move towards a stricter interpretation of government in accordance to what is written in the Constitution. Liberals are either weak or figured out their BS isn't going to fly.
That's not true. Republicans are perfectly happy with the government when it subsidizes their profits, as with Wallstreet, oil companies, nuclear plants and so forth who escape liability and paying taxes. They also like the roads they drive on, the police who protect their mansions and the military that facilitates their foreign hostile-takeover campaign of other countrys' natural resources. In this sense the GOP is ALL ABOUT SOCIALISM. It's just when socialism does ANTHING to benefit the under-classes when suddenly they become purists as to our hybrid socialized/capitalism system..lol..
Oh do get off the pot "kitty". You've been taken to the tool shed, and ya don't like it. Tough. Silhouette is 100% right about you people. You're hypocrites. Violent...greed-driven hypocrites. Why don't you just come out of the closet and admit it...yer all for socialism...as long as its in favour of the rich and the military. But hey...if I'm wrong...then of course you'll be retiring WITHOUT Social Security...right?
Are you making a point? Oh, right, you never make a point just babble endlessly. Thanks for the utter waste of bandwidth.
Poor socialist Kitty...LOL. And what point are you making? That you can regurgitate the same old mindless drivel as the next T-Bagger? Come on...tell us how you hate socialism so much, that you're willing to give up SS when you retire. LOL...so opaque. meow...
Are you 12 or something? I think the Barney forums are more your speed, you don't seem capable of keeping up here.
You were nailed kitten cat. Your position on socialism is? Answer the question. Either your totally against it, even when you benefit from it, or you're not. Which is it? Anyway though this is a thread about Obama & the dems not winning 2012 and the reasons why they won't. So please try to stay on topic..everyone..
It is you and the 12 year old taking things off topic. There can be no compromise with the liberals, the Democratic Party of old has been hijacked by the far-left. Until the Democrats take it back and bring reason back into this debate, they can continue to expect campaign losses and no compromises of any type.
You are very correct, Dispondent! Liberals do not like you if you do not agree completely with their points of view! Especially when you challenge their core beliefs on much higher taxes, legalization of dangerous drugs, open borders, multiculturalism, welfare accountability, religion and "cap and trade"!
You are very correct, James Cessna! I especially liked when you said, "Liberals do not like you if you do not agree completely with their points of view!" That's not because his heart isn't in the right place. But in order to be a president, you also need testicles. A friend of mine suggested yesterday that because he was raised by a hippie momma and then grandparents, he's never known the virile mentoring of a potent father figure. So he has no frame of reference beyond "kumbaya". So naturally then the GOP flattens him like a steam-roller every time his well-intentioned propositions come up. Let's get really honest here. If not on the internet, where? The GOP knows that some of his ideas are really good. They just won't have "success" attached to a black man. That's just the simple truth of the matter. Boehner would probably have a much easier job carving compromise out of his ranks if a full 2/3rds of them weren't patently and rabidly racist. So there is that hurdle to the next four years. I'm loathe to give into a three-year old's tantrums [the GOP strategy, hold the economy's breath until its face turns blue], but we have to go forward. There's no time for playing these games. I think we all need a daddy to yank the GOP's little arm and drag him and us away from danger right now and deal with more tactful approaches to discipline later. That's why the President must get out his Quill and start writing some emergency Acts ASAP. Short of that he can just take down his campaign and announce he won't be running next year. He should do that for the good of the country actually. This isn't about egos anymore, this is real crap going on folks..
Hope and Change are the only things this clown brought to the table, we knew it was stupid then. Playing the race card again I see, that will lose you points in this game. So to sum it up, Obama still sucks and is an absolute failure as president and the liberals want to whine he hasn't been given a fair shake, one more example of this president and his lackey's refusing to take any responsibility. The reasons conservatives don't like Obama are based entirely on his inability to function as an Executive.
I could give a crap about "points" you assign [and diversions from the topic you attempt..lol..]. I wanted Hillary from day #1. Simpering liberals and/or or GOP-plants in the DNC rigged the deal so Obama got the nomination. [the GOP strategized that The Clintons had stepped on too many toes. Too bad it's this toe-stepping that we needed in the Whitehouse instead of Mr. "I get to be the first black president!!" Obama and his vacuuous speechifying and grandstanding. But now that we're stuck with second-best, we "hope" he will "grow a pair" like Hillary had long ago swinging between her legs.
Hillary and Obama are about the same, we'd be in the same place regardless if the clown won or the Red Queen would have won. Its the liberal agenda that is the problem.
You are very correct, Silhouette. Honestly, in the very beginning I was for hope and change. But since Obama has been president, I have lost hope. Now all I look forward to is change!
Obama knew even then that he was not prepared to run the country in such a mess as it was in then. He knew. He knew Hillary was the better man for the job and still he usurped her for the simple sake of the vice of vanity and ego. He's still addicted to those vices today, preferring to hear the sound of his voice echoing in the PA system instead of seeing his bold legacy actually affecting and strengthening the lives of others. He lacks courage and this lack of courage will cause his loss next year. If he was a man at all he would either Act or get off the pot. He needs to face the fact that he may be a good trial lawyer; all "settle out of court" and all..but sometimes you need to try the case and try it hard. I don't think he's cut out for that. But who knows? Maybe he'll prove me wrong?
That's funny stuff. Obama usurped nothing, idiot liberals voted for him over her. This is your fault as much as his.
Anyway... If Obama doesn't show the strength that Perry has, he should just quit now. Save himself, save the democratic party. I think democratic leaders should be urging him to step down if he continues to sell out to the GOP. And when I say "sell out" I mean "compromise". Because the GOP's idea of compromise is 80-100% their way or the highway. And their platform is destroying our country.
