Yes, I was in Silicon Valley, Mountain View to be specific, and went to lunch. Saw the streets were closed off and a helicopter circling. Standing on Pear St, across form the Computer History Museum. It then dawned on me the president was at a town hall across the street. Waited for 15 minutes and out he came and into the limo he went. Sorry, I was about 100 yards away and this is the only shot I got. Love him or hate him, it was still cool to see the president.
He seems to have changed colour and is wearing a cycling helmet. Do you have that effect on all the people you see?
President Who.President of What. This terrible Economy. The almost extermination of the American Dream. The riddling of the Middle class.
This was a thread about someone saying he got to see the president. This is in off topic and is not about what you think about the president and it certainly is not a thread were perpetual trolling is necessary. Be kind or be out of the thread.
Until thinky posts a picture, this thread is going no where. Random thought: I watched the live action movie "Space Battleship Yamato" last night. It wasn't half bad.
He visited my school in 2009. I only saw him as he was driving by in his limo, but they were goin slow so he could wave to people, and I could see him in the car.
I worked for his 2004 Senate campaign(he obviously wasn't president then), and I not only saw him but I shook his hand, and spoke to him for about 10-15 seconds. I liked him a lot at the time, so it was pretty cool.
You think? Or maybe it was just cool to see the president, no matter what party he or she may be in. Maybe it was just interesting, to me at least, because how often do you stumble across the president? Especially when going to Quizno's. Maybe just being a bit of a political junkie it was just an interesting experience You know, you don't have to turn everlasting into some partisan urination contest. You don;t have to denigrate incessantly. On occasion it is alright for your posts to not be incredibly petty and typical.
I saw Palin when she was speaking at a hotel a few blocks from my office. We all walked down to stand on the sidewalk and await her arrival and it was fun to be involved in the crowd that was chanting, SA-RAH, SA-RAH, SA-RAH. Say what you will about the woman... she generates a lot of excitement whereever she goes!
