This is not a mimic of the other thread about Obama, that is a good thread, but I am proud to say I did not vote for Obama, however, I did vote for Bush first time in 2000, so I admit my guilt. this is your official thread to admit guilt. and you can explain yourself in a post as well as vote for best reason why you made such an idiotic mistake. me, I voted for Bush because he promised no nation building, I remember that as if it was yesterday: I was very upset that Bill Clinton bombed Serbia to help Islamic KLA.

My bad, I thought the republican party believed in small government and liberty.

They have a good rap; but when has that ever been true?

There should only be an apology for voting the first time around. The progressives had their chance to eliminate Bush when he was the most vulnerable in 2004 and they failed.

Thanks Democrats for their failure and coming up with a more viable candidate.

Since when have progressives from either party been able to cooperate from within their party, without the baggage of their propaganda and rhetoric?

OMFG I just watched the end of that "Ron Paul Correctly Predicts Obama's Lie" video and that illustration of Ron Paul look so terrible.

Ron Paul can't look like a man even if you draw him like one. That is pretty sad.

I'm not really sure what that has to do with the Democrats inability to find a better candidate than John Kerry but never I guess. Congress could barely get anything done thanks to the Gang of 14.

By voting for an admitted war criminal? I voted for Kerry in 2004 for just that, and it was the last time I voted, but I can not blame others for not voting for him: I myself was looking for Ralph Nader while in the booth.

You had your chance to vote him out. You failed. The burden is on the Democrats as well.

That's pretty sad too. This is my idea of what a man should look like.

I voted for him,not once but twice, and no,I do not regret it.And what makes him a war criminal? He went through Congress both times with bi-partisan support.
How is this a "war crime"
If there is any war crimes going on right now, they are being commited by the Obama Administration
Libya:Never went through Congress, therefore deemed a unconstitutional action.
Mexico(yes, this is a war):Knowingly sold weapons to drug cartels that have killed 100's of people, including Americans.
Give me Bush anyday over the imbecile in office right now.

I didn't really mind; i thought he put the time in.

But, in my opinion, it should be about better public policy choices than about better candidates. The general government of the Union is not the same as the government of a State.

That's what they went with in 2004. Because the American people rejected Kerry the media and the Kerry Campaign tried to spin it as if the American people were too 'stupid' to understand Kerry's agenda for America.

I believe he would have had to carry the democratic agenda and platform; we may not have needed to have a war on terror.

I had to go with #1 as my first choice. At the time, I thought I was voting for the conservative. If I had to choose between Bush and Gore again, I would still vote Bush.

We wouldn't have had a lot of things. I don't think the War on Terror would have even ended under Kerry. The Democrats in 2006 couldn't even end it and Obama couldn't even end it.

Although I am going to say if you had someone else in 2004 people wouldn't have to deal with Obama now. You guys fumbled the ball big time.

I voted for Bush the 1st time. Not because the Clinton years were so horrible. The only real complaint I ever heard against Clinton was people in California who lived on the bases he shut down. And I tell you, those people hate his guts. Mainly because the whole womanizing scandal. Not that it was so horrible, but was just sick of hearing about it. Thought voting in a guy who couldn't cheat on his wife if he tried would solve the problem. I was still status quo sheep type at the time. Then came 9/11. I never understood how an event like the JFK assassination could be so burned into people's minds like that of my mom's generation. I learned fast. Was extremely proud when Bush gave his speech, and that we were going to kill a whole bunch of people who had the nerve to even try such a thing. Then came Iraq, and all gears grind to a halt. Started asking questions of old timers. Too many questions for my own good. Nobody who pushed mainstream perspectives had any real answers. Read books. Read books. READ BOOKS. Some older than the hills. Eventually, the only people who seem to know what they were talking about were the conspiracy theorists. The only people whose perspectives added up. Voted Kerry just trying to get the boys home. Voted Obama just trying to get the boys home. Now I have all but given up on any hope of anything positive coming from our elected officials. Am now one of the PF community "nut jobs". Life certainly has its twists and turns.
