    I would hope not.

It is a simple enough matter to demonstrate an untruth, if one is told, by means of evidence to the contrary. Or at the very least, to require the person making a statement to justify it by means of verifiable evidence.

Should a statement be thus proven to be untrue, one may certainly state that fact, but I think calling the writer a liar is getting too personal. And anyway, we are all human, and prone to making mistakes, which is different from telling a deliberate untruth.

You cannot call someone a liar, however, you can say that their post is a lie. It depends on the context. If you are not sure, report the post so we can take a look at it.

Actually, there was no use of the word 'liar'. Just accused of lying.

    Here are four examples:

'Yep and before you said 2010 , you probably realised later it was a stupid lie and are now trying to cover up. LOL'

'Thats 9.4 at the end. What december isnt part of 2010 anymore? So it dropped from 9.7 to 9.4 in 2010, again you lied and are trying to get away with it.'

'ANd its funny you dont reply on all the lies you made up . LOL'

'Most lies actually, why do you do that make thing up? Probably the lack of arguments?'

Are these acceptable in the rules...I am just wondering?

So I guess that means accusing people of lying in those contexts is not acceptable on this board.

Thank you for your time and your prompt response.

I felt that the responses were more directed at you, rather than at your posts.

I shall close this thread seeing it is all sorted. :)
