http://news.yahoo.com/obama-administration-appeals-alabama-immigration-law-220502628.html Only 1,000,000 illegal aliens got in illegally this year! The editorial board of the Washington Post has said that apprehensions of illegal aliens along our southern border have been reduced to such a low level that Republicans can declare victory and move on to granting amnesty to 11 million illegals. According to the Post, apprehensions are down to about 350,000 for the fiscal year that ends Sept. 30. Arizona Senator John McCain says the U.S. Border Patrol catches about one in four. So, for the year ending on Friday, 1,400,000 people tried to cross the border illegally and 350,000 were stopped. That leaves 1,050,000 who made it. To say this is success is outrageous. Obama obviously agrees!
Granny says is dem illegals is who's creatin' a 'humanitarian crisis'... Is Alabama immigration law creating a 'humanitarian crisis'? October 6, 2011 - With the Alabama immigration law taking effect, some 2,000 Hispanic students didn't attend school Monday. Teachers unions and Hispanic activists are voicing their concerns.
I think it is telling, and contradictory, the Obama will go after states that are trying to push illegals out because it goes against "federal enforcement" yet they allow Kalifornia to say FU to immigration policy and it is never even mentioned. Basically, you can let em in but don't you dare try to do anything to keep em out...
Granny says, "Dat's right - he allowin' dem Hispexican drug dealers to come up here an' blast their bass-boost car stereos all hours o' the day an' night with dat God-awful mariachi music... Obama's Immigration Policies Are at Odds with the Rule of Law November 3, 2011 Sen. Charles Grassley of Iowa, the ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, said on Thursday that the Obama administration's immigration polices are contrary to the rule of law.
I am a third generation Asian American. I understand that illegal immigrants take away jobs from legal residence; however, they are already here. If legal residents were willing to get down and dirty... there are plenty of jobs out there. Except legal residents take advantage of our welfare system.... why work so hard when they can just go on welfare.... We send thousands of troops over seas to protect other countries... but we cant protect our neighbors that are on our soil? If they are already here and can somehow show that they are not here to traffic illegal substances... give them a green card... take their taxes.. offer a deal such as higher taxes for the exchange of a green card.. Don't kick them aside because they lack legal paper work. If we don't want illegal immigrants.. tell the Border Control to do their job... or build a Great Wall of Mexico. I spit on the fact that we are sending troops to help countries that do not welcome us--yet we do not help our neighbors whose ancestors ones lived on the soils of the United States.
Both parties are ultimately manipulated by corporations that benefit from illegal labor. You're never going to see us actually enforce border security because of the expense involved. Our best possibility is to simply reform the visa system so that these people can work legally here.
