http://www.memri.org/report/en/0/0/0/0/0/0/5668.htm Odd how so many Muslims come to misunderstand their peaceful religion. Also odd how Muslims don't call out people like Azdi for being "wrong" (apparently).
From the Hadith: "During some of the Ghazawat of the Prophet a woman was found killed. Allah's Apostle disapproved the killing of women and children."
Yea they just trot out something like OJLeb and think that's enough. Followers of islam are so blinded by their own faith that they think citing a phrase is somehow action or in anyway meaningful.... when its not. That actually reinforces the twisted practise of plucking any old line and abusing its context to suit a purpose, which is the same thing the radicals do.
The Koran and Hadith are not the full extent of human knowledge. Read a science book. Read a Shakespeare play. Read poems about trees.
Why not? The Islam has plenty of science, plenty of poetry. Nope. Not even close. The Prophet Mohammed PBUH is the role model for true Muslims. He forbids the murder of women and children. As a Muslim therefore, since we are to be like Mohammed PBUH, killing women and children is forbidden. That is why I posted that Hadith quote. It went right over your head because you don't know much about Islam....
OJ I have two questions for you: 1. If you say Islam has plenty of science and poetry, does that mean that you study nothing else? I don't think that that is true. 2. If the religion forbids the murder of women and children, why is that what happens when a suicide bomber detonates himself? Are these people misunderstanding the religion? That makes no sense.
What do you mean "so MANY Muslims"? This is a self-published book. There are 1.5 billion Muslims. If .01% of them had wanted to read this book, it could have been published by a major publishing house with a huge cash advance for the author. At this point, I would hazard a guess more downloads of this screed will be performed by Islamophobes checking it out for propaganda purposes than Muslims who would download it to study it. I also find it interesting that many Americans justify and support the USA's regular killing of women and children as part of reprisals for terrorist attacks without even bothering on any religious justifications whatsoever. Further, there are huge numbers of Muslims and Muslim groups condemning these absurd whackjob justifications for civilian deaths by terrorists ALL THE TIME. They buy newspaper ads, write articles, give news handouts, join the Army, and protest. But why should they? Terrorist attacks are no more or less "Islamic" than they are "Christian", regardless of what excuses murderers like to use for their crimes.
One-time Guantanamo detainee... Report: Top al Qaeda leader killed Wed January 23, 2013 - Abu Sufyan al-Azdi was deputy leader of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula; A prominent jihadist announces his death; Three senior Yemeni defense officials, however, say they can't confirm it; Al-Azdi was one of the most wanted men in Saudi Arabia
Thanks Brewskier for posting: "On July 30, 2011, the jihadi forum Ansar Al-Mujahideen published a new e-book by Sheikh Abu Al-Hassan Al-Azdi titled The Just Scale – On the Permissibility of Killing the Infidels' Children and Women as Reprisal. As its title suggests, the book seeks to provide religious justification for killing women and children in attacks that come in response to aggression against Muslims. The author presents alleged proofs for his position from the Islamic sources, as well as commentary on each proof by Islamic scholars. In certain cases he also rebuts theoretical arguments that might be brought against the proof's validity. In the introduction, Al-Azdi rebukes mainstream Muslim scholars for denouncing the mujahideen's attacks on women and children while ignoring attacks by non-Muslims that cause deaths among women and children. Each of the subsequent eight chapters expound on one or more Koranic verses or hadiths, which Al-Azdi presents as supporting his thesis." Actually Britain & the USA is way ahead of them in sanctioning the slaughter of women and children: Union General Sherman: "We are not fighting against enemy armies, but against an enemy people, both young and old, rich and poor, and they must feel the iron hand of war in the same way as organized armies." Applied to Native Americans, Germans, Americans, Japanese, Philppinos, Vietnamese, Iraqis, etc. Madeleine Albright, US Secretary of State said that the US caused deaths of at least 500,000 children "were worth the price". The British killed many women & Children via starvation in British concentration camps in South Africa 1900. In the 1920's Britain was spraying poison gas on women and children in Iraq. And of course we should remember the joint effort by Britain & the USA to fire bomb to death millions of German women and children, and then starve the survivors. And this is just the tip of their bloody cruel iceberg.
Islamic scholars label such actions wrong all of the time; otherwise there would be no need for the publication of a book trying to persuade Muslims differently.
