My fav WH insider wrote a great piece about Sarah Palin dropping out of the presidential race. She said exactly what I've been thinking... but much better than I ever could. Enjoy!

Give 'em hell, Palin. We've only just begun to fight and you're the perfect person to lead the charge! ;)

    I don't understand.

A piece written form the perspective of Michelle Obama's mirror is say the Obama's are in trouble because Palin will go on Fox?

Is this political opinion? Is this how it is formed? From listening to folks who are voicing the alleged views form an inanimate object? What does the president's paperweight say then? How about the coat rack in the White House? Perhaps the sofa in a sitting area can chime in.

It just seems very odd to me, as if a highly partisan and very poor write is projecting their blinding hatred onto inanimate objects and having conversations with them that no one else can hear. It strikes me as borderline disturbed.

    Yes, I believe it is.

Apparently, you are under the impression that political opinion from those who lean leftward is, well, just hunky-dorey; but political opinion from right-of-center thinkers is entirely illegitimate...

I feel kinda bad for the people who donated time and money to her faux campaign. She is laughing all the way to the bank. You got to hand it to this woman, she knows how to make a buck, or millions.

Is this your opinion...or can you actually prove politically right ops are illegitimate? Just wondering...

    Palin's a twit.
She always has been, and she always will be.
That she managed to take a whole bunch of T-Baggers for millions of dollars, says more about the average T-Bagger than it does about "Fluffy's" intellect...

For those of you who still insist on supporting her...

    Haven't you been fleeced enough?

    You would be incorrect.

Political opinion would be a person expressing their beliefs.

This is a magic mirror speaking. Last time I checked mirrors really don't speak, so this would be someone, and anonymous person, projecting their beliefs on an object in a manner that appears to be catty, snotty, and along the lines of gossip.

Now there are some great right wing commentators over my lifetime whose opinions I respect because, such as Krauthammer, Stein, and Buckley. The author of this blog is not one of those. They simply make (*)(*)(*)(*) up and state that the mirror said it. That is not poliitcal opinion. That is someone with half a brain, a hyper partisan intellect, and unfettered access to the internet. That in itself does not make something necessarily valid.

So obviously your statement about me thinking someone that is right of center is automatically incorrect is in itself nothing more than a made up accusation that I fear represents the depths of capabilities here. I would appreciate it if in the future you are going to accuse me of something at least let your accusation have a kernel of truth to it.

Never know which minute detail you're gonna latch onto, but we can always count on it being such a tiny piece of the big story, it's hardly ever worth discussing. I'll try one more time... just to humor you.

Michelle's Mirror isn't a real object. (but you know that) It's a name used by a person who claims to work inside the white house. (but you know that, too) I've linked to her site hundreds of times on this forum... and she gives a full rundown of who she claims to be on the site. So either you haven't bothered to enlighten yourself or you're just playing dumb again (and no, I'm not calling you dumb so don't whine). It's an act I'm noticing more & more among liberals these days. Might be catching.

IMO, the piece she wrote about Sarah Palin was brilliant. She summed up the thoughts a lot of us are having about her decision not to run. No matter how much libs wish their experience with Palin was over, it's far from it. That realization alone makes me grin.

    Michelle Obama's Mirror

A new story from inside the white house every single day. Check her out.

She's a firecracker and just what is needed at this time to rally patriots.
The left sure gets steamed over her. That's a plus. ROFL

She probably can't reach you, but she'll be a strong voice for conservatives in this country between now and the next election. Must scare the pants off libs, huh?

It is a blog written form the perspective of a piece of furniture.

I see nothing to indicate this si anything more than made up nonsense. It certainly is not smart political opinion, as I cited several right wing pundits who can put together a coherent argument. It seems petty and shallow.

So please don't say it is not written form the perspective of a mirror when it actually is.

Huffpo ran one of the most sexist articles about Palin's decision I've ever read... and it was written by a woman. Nothing nastier than a liberal woman attacking another woman. They obviously never got the whole sisterhood thing.

She'll be twice as sought-after now. They only wish they'd seen the last of her. (or pretend to wish... you're prob right, Palin fits every man's dream of a domineering female! must be a love/hate/fear kinda thing!) ;)

She's now 've got about $1,400 000 in her SarahPAC -- and she ain't running for any office.

She's allowed to spend it on her self.

She kept fishing for money, when she already knew she wasn't running in 2012. Maybe for senator?

It's written by a person whose words reflect what she witnesses everyday.

Don't wanna read it? Go away.

Yes, from the perspective of a piece of furniture, and there is no evidence at all this person works in the White House.

It doesn't work that way. If it did, everybody would run for president.

The candidates who drop out of the race or end up losing their party's nomination won't get to use their leftover money for anything of the sort, however. Instead, under the Federal Election Commission's rules, candidates can either refund the money to their donors within 60 days after the person is no longer a candidate or get permission from their donors to re-designate it for use by the candidate's campaign for another federal office

You are asserting, then, that it is up to me to "prove" that right-of center opinions are "illegitimate"? (Actually, I believe no such thing...)

Do you really not understand the difference between the (supposed) claim of "magic" and a mere rhetorical device?

From September 20th Sarah PAC letter:

"Someone must save our nation from this road to European Socialism. Do you think it should be Gov. Palin?

If so, can you send your best, one-time gift to SarahPAC today to help her elect more common-sense conservatives - and show her that we support her if she decides to run?"

Strange thing is.. 2 months earlier Bristol on fox and friends says Mom "definitely" knows whether she will run or not (video: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/06/28/sarah-palin-bristol-palin-2012_n_885974.html)

Interesting... What do you make of that? Think you can get a refund?

Sarah Palin, never ran for President for the United States of America -- that's the whole point. She kept asking for money until late September, when she already had the intent in July (!) to not run for President (according to her eldest daughter, Ms Bristol Palin).

In the real world, that would be labeled "fraud".

False. (It's incorrect, SmartMouthWoman, because it's not relevant since she never ran for President. It factually is true and relevant for people who run, or ran, for any political office. But she never did -- so it's completely not relevant!)

SarahPAC can spend the money as she pleases -- of course there are some restrictions.

Her bus tour, for instance was paid with SarahPAC money -- and that failed bus tour never had the intention of, as you call it, "to re-designate it for use by the candidate's campaign for another federal office" -- since she never filed the papers to run for president or any other office.

As such, she -- among other things -- she gave some SarahPAC money to her parents for "proven services". She also spent money on hamburgers and soft-drinks and other stuff.

    Guess she's fishing for a free-lunch. Literally.

I feel sorry for all the individuals that gave money to her "campaign".
