Few officials -- not even high-ranking ones -- are mincing words about Pakistan anymore. Pakistan, for its part, surely has an injured, offended response in the works. "Karzai: Taliban can't move finger without Pakistan," by Deb Reichmann for the Associated Press, October 7

Oct 9,`12 -- Fourteen-year-old Malala Yousufzai was admired across a battle-scarred region of Pakistan for exposing the Taliban's atrocities and advocating for girls' education in the face of religious extremists. On Tuesday, the Taliban nearly killed her to quiet her message.

It's been obvious for years (back in the second term of George Dubya) that Pakistan has been playing a double game with the USA, helping us with supplies in Afghanistan and "cooperation" with our hunt for Al-Qaeda and the Taliban (throw the occasional guy to the lions) while mysteriously having many suspected targets disappear into the woodwork when we informed Pakistan of our wish to attack said targets. Pakistan's main intelligence agency the ISI, along with a faction of its military, has also actively assisted the Taliban in planning and carrying out actions in Afghanistan and leaned on them to cool down or heat up the tempo of their actions as the situation demanded.

So why is Pakistan doing this? Because Pakistan created the Taliban in the first place as a method of controlling Afghanistan (as opposed to the West or India or Russia or even Iran controlling Afghanistan), and they want that happy state of affairs to continue. If it does, Afghanistan will also become a base for Pakistan to try and spread its influence into the nearby 'Stans of the former Soviet Union. Pakistan's attitude towards the USA at that point will be "thanks for the arms and money; don't let the door hit you on your way out".

Taliban a bigger problem in Pakistan than American drones...
    :fear:
Pakistan's plague is the Taliban, not US drones
October 10, 2012, I'm not sure if there's a Pakistani version of Pogo, but there should be, because after what happened there this week, his famous line -- "We have met the enemy, and he is us" -- certainly seems to apply.

Rev Martin Luther King is the American example of the process by which the Truth fuels radical social changes and hence human progress toward the inalienable rights of men that come from God:

    Hebrews 9:22
In fact, the (immutable) Law requires that nearly everything (that is unfair and wrong) be cleansed with blood (of a martyr), and without the (incident of some innocent person) shedding of blood there is no forgiveness (by the Establishment that enforces these man made Laws).

    Hebrews 12:4
In your struggle against sin, (Islam), you (non-extremists muslims) have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.
