This proves what I've been saying- the OWS consists of a number of disparate groups. Quit focusing on this one element and see that their gripes are ones many share, not just Marxists, Nazis, or whatever bogey man the MSM is pushing to frighten people. I don't like those particular elements, either, but would you rather keep fighting one another while our nation continues to be deliberately driven down the tubes, or unite and be able to accomplish something positive (end the corruption) in great numbers?

 

Translation: Lady Luna wishes to stand tall next to the Nazis and Communists in an effort to "take down" Wall Street, the backbone of our country's economy, if not the world's economy.

If you want to talk politics then talk politics. You're name calling and finger pointing. Try explaining why you think OWS is fascist or communist, and not just ranting about why you don't like liberals.

Stop whining and sitting in a circle beating eachother off. You don't need a forum to find out that you guys all agree.

 

Me, too, and that's why I've supported Ron Paul and been active in the local tea party movement. That is why I ran for local office (country commissioner, I lost) last year, because I want to make a difference and promote freedom wherever I can, since not enough people do that.

I also focus on the commonalities when I work with the tea partiers because here in the Deep South, there are many Christian fundamentalists. But the tea party showed in the last elections what people can do if the different groups work together toward a common goal...and this is exactly what I'm trying to do with the local OWS.

I agree with the very valid criticism that the OWS should be aiming their ire at Washington, DC, but that doesn't negate their message, that the current system is corrupt and unfair for the majority. What I heard at Occupy Huntsville yesterday was that the people want a level playing field. The consensus was that Citizens United should be overturned and that Glass-Steagall should be restored. Does that sound like a crowd of rabid freeloaders, commies and Nazis to you?

There are different OWS groups all over the nation now, just like there are many different tea party groups. Each is composed of people of various political orientations, but you know what? We can all agree that the system is corrupt, right? We saw what the tea party can do in elections; imagine what the tea party and OWS could do about corruption if we all united on that one issue, not by trying to bring Wall Street down, but by becoming politically active and letting our Congressmen know we want a level playing field and the bailouts to stop. Ending the Federal Reserve can tie in perfectly with all that. Can't both sides agree on that, too?

People united will accomplish more than people infighting. That's what I'm trying to do, show our common ground, not bring down Wall Street and usher in Communism as some have implied.

 

The OWS hippies have a very heavy dose of Neo-Coms - i.e. communists.

Maybe they are too uneducated to know what Marxism really means but that is what many of them call themselves.

I have nothing in common with Nazis, commies or marxists. Nothing. I have nothing in common with fat cat Union bosses who are sucking the money out of their members for communist causes that most union members DO NOT support and are not even aware of. I have nothing in common with squatters who violate the rights of the park owners, the small businesses in the area and the residents.

I don't know one tea party member who would ever announce solidarity with these people.

So ok you supported the TEA PARTY, do you see ANYTHING remotely similar to how they protested to the protests going on now? I don't even see a SINGLE FLAG! If I were you I would tell them to pick a specific cause/causes...spell it out, get rid of all the riffraff...protest for the day, and go the F home! This is a joke. City Hall in Philadelphia, which is one area in Philly that is kept spotless...looks like a tent city in a middle eastern country, filthy, smelly, with food and garbage everywhere. And, they say they have no plan on leaving anytime soon. Their only demand...TAX THE RICH. So how soon do they expect that to take place? Tommorow? Next week? And how much? Noone will say.
