Here is an excellent review of the amateurish moves and frequent missteps of Barack Obama.

First he pushed heath care reform over getting millions of Americans back to work. Now he is paying a heavy price.

His heath care bill is so poorly crafted it will soon be declared null and void by the U.S. Supreme Court. He promised to bring the troops home from Iraq and Afghanistan. And how he is foolishly sending U.S. Special Forces troops to Uganda.

And then he made things even worse in the U.S. economy with his trillion-dollar bailout that was a total waste of money and a total flop. Obama laughingly admitted the "shovel ready" jobs he promised up never really existed. Yeah, Mr. President, the "joke" was on us.

Will "amateur hour" in the Obama White House ever end?

"The most amusing amateurish move came just last week. With Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. about to be subpoenaed by a House committee, the administration announced in a flourish that it had thwarted a major terrorist attack on U.S. soil. Iran, Mr. Holder said, planned to kill the Saudi Arabian ambassador at a Washington restaurant, using an Iranian-American used-car salesman as its primary agent. Even the New York Times said the supposed plot was met with “a wave of puzzlement and skepticism from some foreign leaders and outside experts.”

I only hope that there are enough good, productive, legal US citizens who don't 'depend on taxpayers for their income or handouts to vote as opposed to those who need redistribution.

    Obama's record...

    • Record debt.
    • Record deficit.
    • Record spending.
    • Record foreclosures.
    • Record food stamp recipients.
    • Rammed through ObamaCare against the will of the people.
    • Continues the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and added Libya and Africa conflicts.
    • Extended the patriot Act, not once, not twice, but three times.
    • Continues operation of Guantanamo bay prison.
    • 25 year high unemployment.
    • Solyndra scandal.
    • "Fast and Furious" gun-walker scandal.
    • Nominated two incompetent inexperienced anti-2nd Amendment supreme court justices.
    • Pushed job killing EPA regulations.

Every thing that Obama has done is an utter failure. Why do you still support him? I really want to know.

    Very good question, Never Left.

Many people forgive Obama for all his sins and omissions simply because he is black.

It is “affirmative action” taken to the far-Left extreme!

Because after eight uninterupted years of miserable disgrace and failure, Obama has been a refreshing, remarkable, and quite successful step in a variety of positive directions. We don't have a Mexico City Policy any more, the families of former Presidents cannot block the archivist's scheduled release of Presidential papers they may find embarassing, women can bring suit in claims of discrimination in an equitable manner, the screws have been tightened on lobbyists and their abuses, and four million children and pregnant women have been given access to health care coverage. And all those things happened in just the first few weeks of the Obama administration.

Brain-dead types like to pretend against the overwhelming consensus of actually qualified opinion that ARRA was a failure when it performed exactly as designed and was an important factor in reversing the tides of downward Bush momentum and initiating and supporting economic recovery. Braindead types like to whine that the GM and Chrysler rescues were a mistake when letting them go would have cost 3 million jobs within a year, including significant jobs in our precision manufacturing industries. Braindead types further like to rail against non-existent death panels and government takeovers in HCR when that bill is actually one of the most significant and necesary pieces of legislation to pass in a generation or more. They like to complain of tax increases, when what Obama has done is pass the largest 2-year tax cut in US history. They like to complain that there are not zero trops in Iraq and Aghanistan today even though such a thing was never so much as contemplated. They like to complain ridiculously that Obama trips abroad cost $250 million a day when Obama and his administration have had huge international results in stitching up the relationships that Bush had torn assunder and in building a consensus approach to rebuilding and reinforcing the global economy and reordering its governance.

In short, Obama has replaced wall-to-wall incompetence and failure with a broad range of well-designed and successful initiatives. Sane people can recognize the difference. The braindead apparently cannot.

Do you mean the actual Jimmy Carter -- who presided over an island of economic sanity in comparison to what came before and after -- or the phony, straw-man, caricature Jimmy Carter that right-wing propagandists have created for themselves?

    We agree.

ARRA was an elaborate attempt to consolidate public sector union employees allegiance to the Dems, increase Big Fed influence is all matters previously state and local and increase the dependent class.

    It worked perfectly.

A generation of active effort will be required to undo its damage.

....that lead to the popularization of 'the misery index', inflation plus unemployment, both of which were nightmarishly high and combined have not been exceeded by any other president.

    THAT Carter, Baby.

We're well on our way. Pretty soon they'll be general consensus that 8-9% unemployment is 'structural'. The dependent class won't shrink much. Wages will stagnate or backtrack.

It won't be entirely the fault of Obama and AЯRA. Dem destruction of our human capital over the last 45 years is mostly to blame. The current crop of HS drop outs don't have family wage jobs waiting for them in a global economy. They do understand diversity and tolerance, however. Good luck eating that.

You are very correct, Radio Refugee.

When it comes to Hispanics and blacks, the Democrats often adopt and practice the “soft bigotry” of low expectations.

Is it any wonder then that the high school dropout rate for these groups is very high and the unemployment rate among young black and Hispanic males has increased under Obama's policies to the unacceptable range of 18 to 20%?

    LOL! Unemployment under Carter...

    Jan 1977: 7.5%
    Jan 1978: 6.4%
    Jan 1979: 5.9%
    Jan 1980: 6.3%
    Jan 1981: 7.5%

In 1975, unemployment hit 9%. In 1982, it hit 9%. No wait, it hit 10%...same as in 1983. You're going to need some sort of angioplasty to get all that right-wing gunk out of your brain.

Pfft!!! 3+ million jobs in the economy at the end of 2010 that wouldn't have been there without ARRA. 2+ points added to GDP growth rates and a like amount shaved from unemployment rates. How?

    $288 billion for tax cuts.
    $111 billion for infrastructure projects
    $ 87 billion for Medicaid
$ 44 billion for health care research and infrastructure
$ 40 billion in extended unemployment benefits
$ 29 billion for pre-school and child care programs
$ 27 billion for reneable energy and energy conservation
$ 25 billion to subsidize health care insurance for the unemployed
$ 20 billion for supplementary food stamp benefits
$ 16 billion in Pell grants
$ 15 billion for housing support and modernization programs
$ 14 billion as tax-credit equivalents for Social Security retirees
$ 8 billion for high speed rail
$ 7 billion for rural broadband buildouts
$ 6 billion for radioactive waste cleanup
$ 5 billion for the smart grid

That's what ARRA was actually about.
