Here is an excellent review of Barack Obama's accomplishments and very foolish missteps since he has been our president.

    It is quite good.

"Since taking office in January 2009, President Obama has ushered in a period of relentless economic decline for the United States. His administration has added $4.2 trillion to the national debt (now standing at $14.9 trillion), lost 2.2 million jobs, introduced a vastly expensive health-care albatross, and spent nearly $800 billion on a failed stimulus package. At the same time, house prices across the country have tumbled at an unprecedented rate, consumer confidence has plummeted, and millions more Americans are now dependent upon food stamps. Ultimately, the world needs a powerful United States that is a beacon of hope to the world, rather than a basket case of failed liberal policies."

Obama has been a painful lesson that progressive ideology fails in the real world. Yes, we Cain in 2012.

I think many have a short term memory loss as to what "disasterous" really is.

Here's a reminder of how peachy things were when Obama took office:

    January 2009

Job loss: Worst in 34 years
Employers slashed 598,000 more jobs in January [2009] as unemployment rate climbed to 7.6%.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Employers slashed another 598,000 jobs off of U.S. payrolls in January, taking the unemployment rate up to 7.6%, according to the latest government reading on the nation's battered labor market.

The latest job loss is the worst since December 1974, and brings job losses to 1.8 million in just the last three months, or half of the 3.6 million jobs that have been lost since the beginning of 2008.

    http://money.cnn.com/2009/02/06/news/economy/jobs_january/index.htm

Market players were also disappointed by reports that U.S. home prices fell 8.7% year-over-year in November, U.S. housing starts fell 15.5% in December, and weekly initial jobless claims rose 62,000 to 589,000.
    http://www.businessweek.com/investor/content/jan2009/pi20090122_192905.htm

On Wednesday, the 30-stock Dow Jones industrial average finished with a loss of 248.42 points, or 2.94%, to 8,200.

598,000 Jobs Shed In Brutal January

Unemployment Hits 7.6% as Downturn Picks Up Steam

The need for progress on those fronts seemed more important than ever yesterday, as the Labor Department announced that conditions worsened more than expected last month. The nation's employers shed 598,000 jobs, the most since 1974, driving the unemployment rate to 7.6 percent from 7.2 percent. If the jobless rate keeps rising at the pace it has for the past two months, it will hit double digits in summer and reach its highest rate since the Great Depression by the fall.

GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT: FOURTH QUARTER 2008 (PRELIMINARY)
Real gross domestic product -- the output of goods and services produced by labor and property located in the United States -- decreased at an annual rate of 6.2 [later revised to 7.0] percent in the fourth quarter of 2008, (that is, from the third quarter to the fourth quarter), according to preliminary estimates released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

Incredible. Capitalism caused a massive crash in 2008. The seeds were sown by Thatcher and Reagan in the 80s, and went into overdrive from 2001-8. It all came tumbling down, world capitalism was hanging on by the skin of it's teeth. The FT even asked Roubini if capitalism was doomed or words to that effect.

Marx explained and predicted these crashes over 100 years ago, and Roubini recently said in the Wall Street Journal 'Marx was right'.

And you come along blaming it all on a bloke who took office in 2009!

Nothing new. The Republicans were blaming Obama back in 2008 before he even took office.

Which in many cases was valid. Gun sales shot through the roof before Obama took office because of his anti-second Amendment viewpoints. And let's not forget that he was a Senator.

Gallup now has this Buffoon at ..........................38%

My God this is getting really embarrassing,,,HOW LOW CAN HE GO???????

Seems Obama would make a better Limbo dancer than President......

He should not worry too much, I'm sure the non Bias Black population [with the worst employment numbers ] will help. They just gave him a surge from 64,,to 74% ....Seems like they love the job plan [he never got through], of course everybody knows that but them....:-D
So while the rest of the country is at a sane approval number [38%], the unbiased followers are at 74% with a shot at eighty.....LOL YAYYYYYYYY!

But yet, you do not say its untrue. O'Bama is an utter failure, obviously, and yet you support him. Why?

How does Obama "own" the disastrous state of affairs he inherited when he took office?

    You people are dopy...

But I'll tell ya what. Its rather obvious now that you relentless campaign of lies and insults have about destroyed Obama's ability to lead anything. He's been knifed in the back by his own party so many times now, that if you poured water in him...it would leak out all over the Senate floor. So...I for one, hope you morons win the next presidential election. Then I'm gonna watch you morons fully back whoever you elect, DO EXACTLY WHAT OBAMA SAID SHOULD BE DONE FOR THE ECONOMY AND JOBS GROWTH!

    Know why?

Because its the only rational thing to do.

Mark these words well T-Baggers...'cause when it happens...and it will...I will be all over you lame-brains like a wet t-shirt.

LOL! Why did Bushie repeal the 12-to-1 leverage limits on just the major Wall Street investment bankers -- who, in conjunction with the private mortgage brokers that Greenspan refused to regulate and a handful of crooked appraisers and bond-rating agencies -- actually were the people directly responsible for creating the credit crisis and subsequent Great Bush Recession?

    You think?

In Jan 2009, the economy lost 600,000 jobs.

As of today, the private sector has gained jobs every month for the past 20 months.

In Jan 2009, the economy was tanking at about -7%.

Today, the economy is growing for its 7th straight quarter.

In Jan 2009, the stock markets were crashing and down to around 8200.

Today, the stock market has grown about 75% since its recession low.

In Jan 2009, the unemployment rate was skyrocketing upwards.

Today, the unemployment rate has dropped from its peak of over 10% to just over 9%, and has slowly dropped over the past couple years.

Only a partisan invested in failure for political purposes could say that Obama has made it worse in every category.

Because I'm not a braindead moron who is content to swallow one dose of manufactured right-wing swill after another. This mess was manufactured by Republicans and they have done nothing but attempt to block and frustrate any form of recovery, simply because they view their partisan fortunes as being tied to the degree of suffering of the American people and the depths of their despair. Destructive demagoguery is all they have to offer. Nothing more.

And yet the economy remains sluggish and aniemic, with no end in sight for real growth. Over regulation, the spector of an unjust health care bill whose disasterous results are just begginning to be known much less felt. He is sey to abbandon Iraq to Iran both of whom are Shi'a majorities, and is looking for ways to hand Afghanistan over to the Taliban.
