ok, eating is one thing, but now talking about shaping kids habits and their preferences? The governments job is not to shape anyones preferences or habits. If this couple stays in the white house after 2012, the nation we have come to love will surely be lost forever. http://cnsnews.com/news/article/mic...-right-we-can-affect-who-they-will-be-forever
Good thing her kids spend half of their waking hours and get up to half their daily calories at... a private school.
Isn't that something? libs love talking about how great public education is, yet they send their kids to private school.
I am not quite sure how encouraging kids to develop healthy eating habits makes her a Marxist, bu t I have no doubt the right wing echo chamber will not disagree. It seems fairly inaccurate to me to equate a healthy diet to an economic system.
I wonder if President Bush knew that he was laying the groundwork to destroy America via a voluntary program.
They started this in earnest in the 70's. I can still recall vividly some of the absolute bull(*)(*)(*)(*) I was told, especially by social studies pimps, but even certain English teachers had a real major cockeyed slant that always permeated the lessons. I was blessed with right thinking upstanding hard working parents, so the excrement didn't stick to me for very long, but I can see where kids with poor parenting models, or none at all, will be easily bent into nice little big government loving sheep. The Story of Stuff says, I quote, "It's the government's job to take care of us...". Get that chimp out of the WHite house and have him take his beast of a pig wife with him.
I am sorry, but what does your post have to do with me or this thread? I was pointing out the silliness of calling healthy eating Marxism. If you would care to demonstrate how it is, the floor is yours.
I figure it's easy enough to tell them apart. Obama wasn't President in 2004, when this program was started.
Yeah, it seems fairly clear to me she is talking about eating. You know why? She was talking about eating. Now how does encouraging kids to have a healthy diet equate to an economic system? I think you are using the term "Marxist" incorrectly.
She was talking about eating, AND more importantly.... Seriously, you don't know what the (*)(*)(*)(*) your talking about. You completely missed the comprehension. If you don't get it fine, but please stop, your making yourself look foolish. move along.
From your OP. Mrs. Obama was speaking on the South Lawn of the White House at a reception to honor schools that met the goals of the U.S. Department of Agricultures HealthierUS School Challenge (HUSSC). Seems fairly clear she was talking about eating. I am not sure how this was misunderstood.
I know what you're trying to say, but you miss the point. Obviously Bush was a loser. He's the reason an even bigger loser became President after him. The program in the OP was indeed started under Bush. However, what the OP is saying is that Michelle Obama is pushing it to a new level of government control. I don't know if I would characterize it as marxist, but it is very telling how she places so much responsibility in the hands of government. And to top it off, she sends her kids to private schools. Makes you shake your head in disgust.
Oh, it's a joke? I don't get it. It sounds to me like you thought you were scoring some points amongst the like minded and it did not work out so well.
It equates because diet will soon become the crux of Ubamacare. Overweight...costs you more, high cholesterol costs you more, high blood pressure costs you more, overweight children costs you more...and on and on and on...
