I suppose I should declare my interests, not that you don't already know them.

But I am in a different situation. I am neither American nor live where they do. Thus my issues are very different.

I already vote for a third party in New Zealand, so I don't have to invent another one. There are 7 represented in our parliament I could vote for and many others outside.

I am a social democrat. Which is something that many Americans would not understand in their polarised political society. I am liberal in many things, moderately conservative in others.

I have no minders but I keep getting death threats in the mail.

No, seriously, I post here because PFis a fair, for the most part (save one maybe moderator), unbiased forum (do I hear the sound of thin ice breaking? Ha ha…ahhhh?) I post on several other forums when I have time (i.e. when I am at work hee hee&#8230. This site is a refreshing change from the many pro left wing sites that pervade the internet. The left spin isn't limited to members of other sites, no it includes mods and owners of other domains/sites who are aggressively anti religion and anti conservative.

Another reason, perhaps the primary reason I post is to correct wrongs. I see a horrifying number of untruths and even lies posted about my reason for living which revolves around our creator and the religion that attempts to describe GID*, otherwise known as or included within the scope of metaphysics. There is a dire, dire need to post truth about how the western mind has been deceived into accepting a LP paradigm. That tragedy seems to have began at the turn of the century with decisions made at the Vienna Circle ***. The LP world veiw pervades (I would say infects) all phases of our lives. The exponentially better alternative was a paradigm (world view/model of reality) based on MP. (see links). One of the reasons I stump for MP over LP is that empirical proof, even the weak kind allowed by the ‘at least in principle’ rooted in the definition of LP** is eventually if we ‘follow the rabbit trail’ found in the metaphysical propositions acknowledged as the ‘axiom of causality’ et al. So when we combine empiricism with knowledge, Its apparent we are clueless. Who needs a degree in philosophy to know that we know nothing? Ha ha…. eh? It seems I wasted six years….

Anyway to conclude this mess, I am here to inflict the universe according to Rev A on the freaking world. Or the percent of the world that has access to the internet.. the end...finally!

** At least in principle means ; By nature Logical Positivist stresses that they only see meaning in what they can empirically authenticate or prove. I post here as a RIGHT WING CONSERVATIVE in hopes of influencing enough of the anti/un American progressives, liberals, socialists, fascists, marxists, commies, feminazis, atheists, pacifists, protestors, lib elitists, welfare cheats, centrists, independents and basic morons that they should start becoming real traditional/Conservative Americans like myself. I'll even post a picture of myself in my full dress military uniform saluting to the American flag with one hand while holding the bible in my other hand...if I think it would help light a fire of influence under the butts of any lefty out there.

I'm probably REALLY here because someone has to stand up to the radicals...on both sides of the American political spectrum.

Besides...we don't have lunatics in politics...your political scene is so much more entertaining.

A 3rd party would be an excellent idea for America. One that could hold sway in the eventuality of a minority government. One that could temper the extreme views that seem to rule the political landscape down there. One based on common sense...instead of SIG cents...

1) I find expressing my opinions to an international audience a bit heady.

2) Having access to a diverse stream of real time opinions on current events helps me define political trends/tone.... and may offer fresh angles I hadn't considered.

3) Couch potato political activism....the odd chance my words may connect with, or influence a few fence sitting passers by is somewhat alluring.

This is kind of stupid sort of thread, so I'll just let go and be stupid along with it....

I'm an ultra-Conservative and a "Birther" at heart (not even the second attempt at a birth certificate was very convincing, IMHO). I despise the Welfare State, the Federal Reserve crime syndicate, and the whole Socialist scheme to make everyone dependent on "the State".

But, I also despise Wall Street stock market "casinos", the Banking cartels, never-ending brushfire "wars" that sap the wealth and energy out of this country, and the interference of "the State" in personal freedoms.

I advocate the legalization of marijuana, the legalization of prostitution, and the legalization of just about everything else, so long as it does not interfere with another person's right to law and order, and, peace and quiet.

I cannot rationalize all these beliefs in one person, so, I must be crazy. And now, finally, I realize that I don't even mind being crazy....

 

Live and let live.....but if one's living intrudes on mine, my default demeanor is to get a bit nasty.

I've been here a while, and I'm not sure if I've seen anyone actually change their stance on anything. So aside from perhaps forming the opinions of people new to a topic that wander into a thread, I have my doubts anyone will ever get any satisfaction if their goals are to change viewpoints, "educate the other side", or even to "counter". Unless they have impressive skills of self delusion.

I suppose I'm on this forum particularly for the variety of individuals. We've got a number of foreigners, and people from all over the spectrum. I have learned quite a few things, and have been motivated to research quite a few others.

On a more practical level, I think a result of seeing the different sides of an argument and having researched points and formulated resoponses already puts me in a much stronger position "when it matters", such as a town hall meeting or when these things come up with freinds and relatives.

If its something other than being the most successful flamebaiter on the forum, I'd be curious to know what it is.

If that is your interst, than I think you might currently be on top, and probably without the banning less skilled individuals would occasionally recieve. Congrats

This place can some times feel like two neighbours leaning over a fence, one from the left, one from the right, two people discussing the problems of the world, and trying to find reasonable solutions to them.
