He's the ONLY Republican candidate I would vote for because, like Rush Limbaugh says, he's NOT a true conservative.

I stand behind him in the sense that if he wins the nomination, I would certainly vote for him. Only a fool would vote for Obama!

Its a little early to make it a race between Romney and Obama. We are...still in the primaries ya know.

If it were between Romney and Obama...of course I would stand Romney. But at this point...he's not my candidate.

"Other", or "another candidate" would have been a great, because, although not all cons stand behind Romney, it doesn't necessarily imply he's a socialist or Obama is an option.

I am EXTREMELY conservative. I also practical. I am not going to waste any vote on an unelectable ideologue like Ron Paul out of some misguided sense of "principle." Politics is WAR. It is bloody and brutal. It has very little to do with haughty notions of political purity. If you want to adhere to "principle" over practicality, become a nun and joint a convent, or become a monk and join a monastery--or emigrate to Iran and become a Shi'ite. Leave the rest of us to do the heavy lifting in the real world of political dirt and sweat.

Politics is about electability, pure and simple. All I want to know is: whose guns can inflict the most damage on the enemy? That's my candidate. I completely subscribe to Bill Buckley's advice to support the most electable conservative in the primary races. That candidate is Romney. It sure isn't Cain. There are 8 year old children who have a better grasp of foreign policy than Cain.

And the more I look at Romney's record in MA, the more impressed I am. He had to find a way on a day to day basis to work with or around the most extreme of the most extreme in liberal-land. He acquitted himself admirably. Even Romneycare has to be considered a victory when it is understood that the MA socialist legislature was set to pass a full-monty single-payer system akin to the British NHS. At least Romney directed them back to a scheme that preserved SOME free market features.

In many ways, Romney was the McGyver of governors during his term. He got more done with less support than any governor in recent history including Ronald Reagan in CA.

No, politics is about who has the most guns.

I do not stand behind him. I researched him in 2008 and I can't stand by him.

It should be about what is best for the future of our country. I will vote on these principles. We all lose with the "war" you speak of.

Are you the kind of guy that stands in front of a microwave and yells hurry up? Ha ha ~

I would not vote for Mitt unless he was the only choice other than Obama. So far I am undecided. I vote the issues not the party and am going to change my registered status to independent. I would rather be a member of the UTOPIA* party if we had one.

I chose the middle choice, but I don't believe he's a socialist (or a conservative). My main thing is that he's just mediocre. There is nothing exciting about him. That said, if it's a choice between him and Obama, there is no problem. I'm voting Romney over Obama any day of the week.

I do not support Romney. I am the principled type that kipper dislikes. I have no problem with his type of wanting to duke it out in a political area; it's a competition and I can see how that would be enthralling to some. However, I deny that it is anyone's right to play these games with our fundamental human rights, as kipper seems to enjoy.

The government is not some arena for competition like this; it is an instrument devised to protect rights. If you really want to play politics, there's plenty of that in the business (read: real) world, so for those who've got the guts, I say put your money where your mouth is and risk your own property. Our rights and resources are not to be used for these games.

I'm guessing you mean that he doesn't stand for "radical change". America needs a few minor tweaks to get us back on course. It doesn't need an entirely new system.

It will be the end of America if Romney or Obama win. Okay so an exaggeration. But my answer is somewhere in there.

I would crawl through broken glass to vote for a pile of dogsh*t on the pavement, if only to remove The Kenyan Tyrant......

......but we can do better than the pile/Mitt.

Perhaps an answer more fitting to the title is I'll stand behind Mitt when he stands behind himself.:-D

Romney is a man that wants the GOP to move left. I will not vote for this left wing religious cultist.

I will be voting for Ron Paul in the primaries. That being said, I will vote and support Romney if he wins the GOP nomination. He is not my first choice though.
