Adolf Hitler & Sister Aryan Nation Remain in Foster Care After 33 Months; Parents Fight For Return

“Adolf Hitler's parents are still fighting to get their son back.

The 5-year-old boy, named for the infamous Nazi leader, and his two sisters were taken by New Jersey child welfare officials in 2009.

An appeals court ruled last year that Heath and Deborah Campbell should not regain custody of the children, citing the parents' disabilities and the risk of serious injury to their children.

A family court previously found that there was evidence the children had been abused or neglected, but the details were not released because of a gag order.

The Campbells, who picketed outside of a child services office in Flemington on Tuesday, have repeatedly spoken out, claiming the children were taken because of their names and nothing more.

"The judge and (the Division of Youth and Family Services) told us that there was no evidence of abuse and that it was the names!" Heath Campbell told NBC 10 News in Philadelphia. "They were taken over the children's names."

In addition to the boy being named Hitler, his 3-year-old sister is named Aryan Nation.

The family first gained media attention when the Campbells ordered a birthday cake at a local ShopRite. The supermarket refused to bake the cake because the family wanted it to say "Happy Birthday Adolf Hitler."

A local WalMart ultimately provided the cake for the child's party.

The Campbells have denied they are neo-Nazis, despite decorating their home with swastikas.

According to court records, both parents suffer from unspecified physical and psychological disabilities.

A court will decide in December if the children, who have been in foster care, should return to their parents.”

Without knowing the full degree of the parents alleged suffering from unspecified physical and psychological disabilities, I think that removing two children from their parents because of their names, is punitive, arbitrary, and unconstitutional. There is nothing in the Constitution that says parents cannot name their own child; that said name must ne approved by the state.

People name their children after movie actors, celebrities, and TV stars every day, and it is commonplace in its very nature. Even though I might not want to name any child of mine Benito Mussolini, Margaret Thatcher, or Ronald Reagan, I celebrate their right to name their child as they see fit.

To have a court decide to remove the children from their parents will do more damage to the children than a name could ever do. The courts have never learned the lesson of ‘compromise’ and they deal with their own lack of empathy, and the realization that any name can be offensive according to one’s upbringing and nationality.

When the kids get into school again, I am sure they will have nicknames given to them anyway, and I wish Adolf Hitler and Aryan Nation the best of luck. I’m sure their parents love them very much, and may decide to rename them with the Court's and society’s approval if that becomes a necessity.

When I was in the Marine Corps there were a set of twins, Captains at the time, and their given names were States Right and White Supremacy. I did not believe it when I heard it but looked it up. It was true.

If a parent(s) love their child, they would stop and think and realize that slapping such a name like 'Adolph Hitler" on their son would set their son up for brutal bullying and harrassment from his peers........ if parents can't understand something as simple and fundamental as that, then they have no business being parents. That is an unconscionable thing to do to your kid...... to immediately set them up for a life of grief, unhappiness and lonlinness.....

There was a girl who's parents named her Talula Does The Hula in Hawaii.... don't remember her age, but I think she was underage when she finally made it into court to get it legally changed to just Talula....... can you just image what she went thru when other kids found out her real name?

No person should have to show a birth certificate w/a name on it that would make someone's eyes pop open.......

If the judge orders them to change their names if they want their kids back - I say GOOD! It's nice to see someone cares about them and their futures since their own parents aren't capable.......

If it turns out the judge tells them to change the kids names, won't bother me at all that their right was taken away from naming their kids such atrocious names and the kids were given the right to live their lives w/decent normal names that won't draw ridicule and bullying from their class-mates...

 

Just F-n great. We are now going to have the government and the courts telling us what we can name our children. Maybe that is a good thing. Have you seen the names these Hollywood types are saddling there spawn with these days? And what about getting some variety in the muslim community. Not every one of there male kids can be named after a long dead pedophile.

 

Naming your kids after a dictator and a racist hate group is child abuse in itself. The children should be placed with a family who love them and change their names.

If the parents liked the names so much, they could have changed their own names. Instead, they chose to inflict those names on their own children. Imagine what would happen when those poor kids went to school?

In my country some names are not accepted when you register the birth of your child.

I read that a couple who wanted to name their child Osama Bin laden, did not get permission to do so. Nazi related names would also be prohibited. I agree with this. Why should parents be entitled to instrumentalise their kids in such an obvious way?

 

Actually, since socialism and fascism are so closely related Obama is almost as close to the real Adolph Hitler in policy and spirit as he is to Joseph Stalin.

Because in spite of taking over GM Obama really doesn't want to own the factories and the means of production like a good socialist.
