"Anonymous" group threatens FOX News hosts, FOX website

Leftists must swell with pride to have this teenage group of pimple-popping cyber-terrorists on their side. It just goes to show that the left cannot argue and defend their arguments, they can only attempt to intimidate and silence their opponents.

These people are criminals, just like the roaming thugs who are currently vandalizing and destroying Oakland in the OWS movement. I hope they all end up in prison.

Most of this is sit in against Wall Street is the hand of Liberals and the White House. I have an E-mail from Obama's top internet network asking me to join it in Phoenix. The trouble is, it's not Wall Street that is to blame, it our own government. I am not accusing Obama. Much of it happened before he ever got in office, although his policies has done nothing to make things better, only worse if enacted. Here is the problem.


Wall Street isn't the problem. Government is. They're Adopting NAFTA and Free Trade without requiring any minimum wage or environmental laws opened the gates to thousands of companies leaving and taking our middle class jobs with them. Pressuring banks to give loans out to those people who couldn't afford them, and allowing them to get into high risk investments cost much of the trouble we are in now also. Allowing foreign companies to dump their products on our market, driving American companies to move to Mexico or China has also killed companies and jobs. Much like it killed our television industry by Japan and is now causing Whirlpool to lay off thousands and move one of their factories to Mexico.

We have always had the very rich with us, but people didn't care. We had millions of jobs that paid good wages so it wasn't important. Now those jobs are gone and now we are complaining about the rich having so much. Companies only took advantage of what government gave them. Washington is who we should be picketing, not Wall Street.

 

I guess we'll see what happens Saturday.

It could be a bunch of bored pranksters out to make life miserable for Fox News, or it could be the actual Anonymous group practicing some hacktivism.

All I know is this - if I ran a company that was a major presence on the Internet, Anonymous is one group I wouldn't want PO'd at me...

 

As for attacking Fox, hell they have been doing that for years. Here in Arizona, they have called the sponsors and threatened not to buy their products if the didn't stop sponsoring Fox Conservative radio. The White house has forbidden certain people from appearing on their show. Every Liberal radio station spends as much time pounding Faux as they do Republicans. Heck, the only Right leaning news station on the air and the Libs can't stand having even that.

This isn't even worth discussing until november 5th, because Anonymous "announcements" are regularly hoaxes.

 

Good, hopefully they will target the rest of the corporate media next!! Let's hope they haven't been brainwashed to believe fox news is evil, while the rest of the media is ok. Fox News is part of the corporate media establishment, that all supports the same agenda. Their job is simply to convince silly people, that the rest of the media is far left wing(even though it is owned by massive corporations who are directly opposed to left-wing politics), and that fox news represents real right wing news. The reality is, Fox along with all other major news sources, represent corporate interests and nothing else. They are right wing because it is profitable and good for their interests. So hopefully "anonymous" realizes this, and doesn't focus only on the admittedly terrible Fox News Channel.

 

I never heard this group ask for help either or did I miss something?

 

They're not really a "group" in the traditional sense. The members don't know each other. They simply exist in the same place (usually 4chan) and throw out suggestions to each other. "Hey, let's launch a DDOS attack on (insert site name here)." "Hey, let's all upload a porn file to youtube at the same time". "Hey, let's find out all we can on this Facebook user and harass him/her", etc.

Basically, an army of teenage keyboard warriors. The fun for them ends when the authorities come knocking on their mommy and daddy's door one day.

 

They rarely ask for help, and they are well, anonymous, so nobody really knows who they are or whether whomever claims to be anonymous actually is anonymous. There has been other such videos in which nothing happened, which means they were either a troll video, or anonymous was not able to carry out what they claimed they would. A third option is that it is a hoax that someone hopes another person will carry out, or maybe the videos are just meant to make anonymous look bad. Which is why I say Anonymous is not a very worthy subject as we never know who is issuing the videos and whether or not they are genuine.

 

It also goes without saying that if they were going to front an attack against a server they wouldn't announce the attack weeks in advance to give the target sufficient time to beef up security. But that is just my opinion on the whole thing, and why it is probably just another hoax.

 

It looks more and more like Fox itself is behind it. A Reichstag Fire situation.

As you point out, no hacker would announce the attack beforehand (unless they are really really good, and Anonymous is good, but not that good)

 

Why would they need to use taxpayer dollars? Please explain.

 

They've done and are doing a great job dragging themselves through the mud. They don't need our help.

 

Quick note: Obama's approval ratings has been fairly stable and has even seen a slight bump up in the past few weeks.

Hell, even the Democratic Party's approval has leveled off.

The Republicans' approval rating, however, could be described with the phrase "train wreck".

 

Honestly when I read this, I thought you were talking about the Cain/Perry/Romney scandal!
