Floating around the internet, no link. Nails it.

    QUOTE OF THE DECADE:

This quote was translated into English from an article appearing in
the Czech Republic as published in the Prager Zeitung of 28 April
    2011.

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting an inexperienced man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of idiots such as those who made him their president."

If you voted for Barack Obama to prove you are not a racist... you have to vote for someone else next time to prove you are not an idiot.

The danger to America is that members of the citizenry are capable of attaching importance to an unverified, anonymous quote floating around the internet. Especially those who were apparently totally oblivious to the failings of the previous president. George W. Bush may have had more "official" experience, that is, time spent in office, but he relied totally on his advisors for decision making. He didn't even read newspapers.

Really? You consider relating to something someone said a bigger danger than electing an incompetent president? No wonder this country is so screwed up. The quote was right. It's more than just Obama.

yes its hard to blame the President when they act for so many behind them...

bush was a good example, he seemed like a really nice guy without looking at his evil politics

Unfortunately Obama is carrying on the same "evil" politics. I really don't see how he has any supporters left after doing the exact opposite that he campaigned against.

I was a supporter in 2008. I will be voting Republican in 2012, my friends (mostly) and my family are doing the same. We have to send a serious signal to Washington. I just worry that the left has finally figured out how to buy votes by making everyone dependent on the government = end of a once great nation.

We have slid into decadence. We will have to crawl out of it, or slide under.

How does the true origin of this quote affect its accuracy?

    Ad-hominem arguments are logical fallacy.

So desperate you have to have Obama running against Bush rather than on his own record?

Bush and the Republicans had the deficit down to $161 billion after falling for three years straight due to the full employment his policies gave us for 52 months.

You really want to compare that to the Democrat/Obama performance and folly as noted in the OP quote?

That makes no sense. Who blamed "floating around the internet" for anything?

The people to blame - the majority of voters - are the same in both cases. For instance, if you voted for Obama, YOU are to blame for everything he does while in office.

The point is that its obvious to anyone with half a brain that the country has done better under Obama's leadership than Bush's.

The media is as responsible as anyone for the dumbing down of American politics. Rather than presenting the issues rationally and staying with them, they flock like flies to the next steaming turd. The internet can be a good alternative, but there is a lot of BS to wade through that many are incapable of.

The problem with the media has only gotten worse with the recent phenomena of a few corporations controlling the majority of both print and broadcast media. The result is a media and a government that are both corporatist puppets.

Me too. The band of fools who voted for him live in our towns and cities. They are convinced socialism is the best way forward.
